It has been an awesome year… an awesome blockchain year… and yes, I am not talking about Cryptocurrencies as we are focused on the blockchain technology and not necessarily in that particular token… we have been too busy building and there was not too much time left to contribute to this blog…
It has been a looong 12 months: early January we started a blockchain start-up called Lumeeira (https://lumeeira.io) and late January got a Secret Network (https://scrt.network) ecosystem grant to start building Abakhus (https://linktr.ee/abakhus) dApp. February was the IberoAm (https://linktr.ee/iberoam) ideation phase and March we invested in networking during the Ethereum-Rio conference. We met amazing people with amazing ideas there ! Namely, H.E.R.DAO, Blu3DAO, Endangered Tokens, BlackLeadersDAO, Unit Network, BanklessBR, GoodDollar and NFTFY. Later we interacted a bit with RioCryptoHub, ReFi Spring and ShapeShift. Early July I presented a pitch about Abakhus in NFT.Rio. Late August we organized the first IberoAm online conference with 15 speakers, representing blockchain projects from several IberoAmerican countries. A fruitful partnership with NFTFY, BanklessBR, BrasilNFT, Shade Protocol, BlockchainRio, PlutusFi and the artist Cale was established to raise funds to reward the 6 best impact projects submitted to the IberoAm online conference. It was a great pleasure to know about the amazing projects Favelaverso, Crypto Samba, NFT Gran Chaco, Brashill, Coletivo Oyxabaten and Brasil com S. Early September we presented a talk on Abakhus in the BlockchainRio Festival. Between August and September IberoAm initiative was verified in Gitcoin and Giveth platforms. Abakhus Alpha-1 test happened mid October and we were really happy to have addressed all the minor bugs found then by the volunteer testers. In November, the project to organize an IRL event called "From Genomes and Privacy to Social Impact using Blockchain'' (an IberoAm/Abakhus partnership) was selected to participate in the DevCon/Ethereum Quadratic Funding. The same month, I became a Polygon Guild Mage, in order to help Polygon to grow its community and awareness in Rio de Janeiro. Some very interesting interactions with DeSci Brazil, DeSci Latam and DeSciWorld hapenned between October and December. Last but not least, Abakhus Alpha-2 test was launched in mid December and we are happy to see the dApp that was developed to secure Health and Life Sciences Data is much more mature and stable now, towards Beta test in Q1 2023.

A big thank you to all our partners and supporters and especially to Genolab (https://genolab.com.br) that has been strategic and so supportive for our Blockchain initiatives. Merry Xmas and an even better blockchain year in 2023 for you all !
