What if we could link every abandoned warehouse, mall building, and factory into an interconnected global community garden. What if we could supply much-needed fresh food to urban areas without having to cut down forests? What if we gave the land time to rest, regenerate, and recuperate from years of aggressive soil misuse?
The Lifers’ Garden Club is building a global network of community-stewarded vertical farms to feed the next 2 billion people. We're looking for like-minded people to help us achieve this vision.
Food production is responsible for ~33% of global green house gas emissions. With the population set to increase by another 2 billion the question is: how are we going to feed all of these people without further destroying our environment?
We realize this is a problem that people have been tackling for a long time. There’ve been solutions at the local, federal, and global levels that have had an incredible impact on billions all over the planet. The truth is we’re standing on their shoulders, and it’s from that vantage point we can see how much the problem has evolved.
By 2050, there will be 10 billion people to feed, putting crazy amounts of pressure on our agricultural land, forests, water, and energy resources. The current food value chain is broken. It expands through deforestation and forces farmers to practice unsustainable growing techniques to produce food with ever diminishing nutritional value. If this planet is going to accommodate an additional 2 billion people we are going to need food production solutions that sustainably scale
The Great Green Garden’s mission is to build the largest sustainable garden while serving as a social experiment for what the food system could look like in a better future. We’re exploring new ways to feed an expanding populace. We’re using innovative technology to provide nourishment without harming the planet, while fostering public-private partnerships that align interests towards omni-win conditions.
Mars is cool but it’s got nothing on Earth. The earth is our first home, and has more than enough to feed all of us as long as we take steps in the right direction.

It starts with you! We want to build a community of Lifers: web3 enthusiasts, futurists, artists, doers, grassroots operators who want to leverage tech and the spirit of wonder to leave the world better than we found it. So we’re launching the Great Green Garden NFT collection to fund the foundation, find our stewards, and start building.
The Great Green Garden NFT will consist of three tiers; perennial, heirlooms, and roots. We’re all about equity and representative steward. We chose a tiered model to make this collection available to a wide selection of of individuals from all walks of life. This model also allows for stewards who buy in at higher price points to be recognized for their contributions.
Web3 allows for collaboration and co-ordination on scales only previously imagined. This is a highly innovative space which values inter-connectivity and transparency. We believe that projects like this are the future of philanthropy.
Web3 provides a unique opportunity for contributors to have their efforts directly attributed and preserved for later generations. We believe the distributed ledger is the next way our species will preserve its records and we are inviting our stewards to write their name in the new chapter of the book of life.

Chicago is one of the wealthiest cities in America yet a large population of its inhabitants live in areas that are still considered food deserts. It’s also home to the highest racial wealth gap in the U.S. where there is a very clear correlation to food insecurity in certain neighborhoods.
Chicago is magical, full of culture. It’s given us Kanye West, Walt Disney, and so much more. Imagine all the other great things that could come from this amazing city if people had secure access to nutritious food. Chicago like most American cities deserves so much more, so that’s where we are planting our first flag.
We’ll leverage a twin system where we’ll place one garden in the south-side and the other in the north-side. The north farm will deliver fresh greens to partner restaurants which offsets the cost of bringing nutritious groceries to the community in the south-side.
After we successfully launch our first garden node and secure the longterm financial viability of the network we have many things planned.
Expanding our garden network with in-house tech.
Creating financial infrastructure to support farmers.
Launching a media network to explore ideas that bring wonder back into the world.
Gift tokens, branded prize drops, irl events for our stewards and so much more.
This will take work but life is worth it.
