What is Knowledge Entrepreneur ?

A  knowledge entrepreneur shares knowledge and information with other people to help them achieve a particular goal and earn money in return. It can be theoretical knowledge or experiential, or a combination of both. We all have unique knowledge or expertise that grows from our professional or personal life over time. Or, we can be so passionate about something that we can help others to reach the stages we are at.

It can be anything from learning a new skill or cracking a competitive exam. If you are already an expert in your domain, your expertise can help someone struggling through the same pipe. If you do not have any knowledge or are at a very early stage, you can still learn to be a master, and the entrepreneurship journey will supply the fuel for it.

Knowledge entrepreneurship is not only about teaching; the difference between an educator and a knowledge entrepreneur is that the second one works for a goal and produces results with the help of technology. It can resemble online teaching or youtube content creation. But knowledge entrepreneurship is beyond that. At the end of the day, becoming a knowledge entrepreneur is a business. You have to create a product that solves a purpose and has a demand in the market. Like any business, it requires a particular focus, mindset, determination, and hardwork. You have to accumulate these things with your knowledge to solve a problem of others that have never been solved before or solved well.

‘’Knowledge entrepreneurship describes the ability to recognize or create an opportunity and take action aimed at realizing an innovative knowledge practice or product.’’ - Wikipedia.

We are living in the golden time of technology; anyone can get access to all the information they want with a touch or a click. But the problem is that the knowledge is not confined to a specific place; it is scattered everywhere. Let's say you want to learn about NFT (Non-Fungible Token ). In the last few years, it has created a buzz after the crypto. You will google NFT, read some blog posts, then scroll down some youtube videos. All of them explain what  NFT is and how it works; you'll find it everywhere because that is the most searched keyword. A blogger or a Youtuber only makes videos to get views. They chose the topic with a good search potential to beat the algorithm, not to serve you the higher knowledge. They are not subject matter experts; they are content creators.

You'll realize that everyone is saying the same thing, and your knowledge level doesn't go above what NFT is and how it works after spending hours. To learn NFT in-depth to work on it, you need a subject matter expert to teach you. There are so many things to learn beyond the syllabus of schools or universities, and good educators are very few on the internet. Here comes the job of the education entrepreneur to do deep research and confine all the pieces of information to a specific place and service as a package.

Entrepreneurship in the education system developed as a part of social entrepreneurship's global trend. The educational entrepreneur is a part of the education system. It takes the initiative to develop a program, product or service with technology to improve student learning in the ecosystem. People with a vision of how things can be better take the necessary risks to succeed in their vision. Developing the initiative is based on creative, innovative thought that defines deficiencies and problems and develops paths for change. It isn't always the development of new solutions to existing problems but also creative linking to the existing variables, making them into a new strategy for coping with existing challenges.

The education system is going through a digital transformation, and the growing need is to provide higher quality education to a more significant number of students through the internet at a cheaper cost. After the pandemic, a new era of digital education has opened up that will grow continuously and finally evolve in the metaverse.

The metaverse is the future. In later chapters, we will discuss the metaverse and the opportunity we can find as an educator in detail. You can have any profession or passion; all our avatars will move in the metaverse, and those who can deliver value to others will dominate it. Be the early adopter.
