Ever wonder why we should use the software directly from the developer’s official distribution channel? Maybe, we should look at an example from Snap store’s recent incident: a fake Exodus wallet app had entered the store and scammed 9 BTC (worth around $490K) from an investor. As we can see, in this case, the sandboxing security of Snap didn’t help.
