We Say We’re Building. But Who Are We Building For?
Let’s be real.
It’s easy to say “we’re building.”
But pause for a second
Are you building for people?
Or are you building because the idea sounds nice?
If you’re a builder, you’ve felt this question creeping in.
If you’re a supporter, you’ve seen products launch that don’t really solve what matters to you.
Truth is, we all get caught in the hype and forget to ask:
Why does this matter? To who?
In July, we had to ask ourselves the same.
Ethereum at 10 reminded us
This isn’t about building louder.
It’s about building better.
For people. For purpose.
And now August is already in full swing.
The calendar’s not just full, things are already moving, shifting, and being built.
If you’re not paying attention, you’ll miss it.
If you are, you’ll see the chance to realign and make what you’re working on truly count.
We’re flipping the script, starting in the now (August’s big moves), then rewinding to July to see how we got here.
Founders Summit (Aug 18–30, Accra) → Final 8 founders building real, launch-ready products.
Demo Day (Aug 27) → Live + virtual pitches to VCs, angels & ecosystem leaders.
Cohort 3 Apps LIVE → Your chance to build with AyaHQ x Lisk. Don’t send generic pitches—come ready.
ETHSafari Residency → 30 fully sponsored co-living slots (apply by Aug 25).
Final 8 Startups → Tackling financial inclusion, creator tools, onchain infra & more.
Hackathons Ongoing → Ship fast, opportunities moving quickly.
July Recap → Builder Hub stories + Ethereum at 10 celebrations with 200+ builders.
Cheer Corner → CoinSafe launches save-and-earn platform on Lisk, incubated at AyaHQ.
This isn’t just another “gather the founders” event.
From August 18th to 30th, the Final 8 are taking over Accra at the AyaHQ x Lisk Builder Hub.
Some of them walked into this program with nothing but a raw idea.
Now? They’re holding products that work, solving problems that matter.
You can almost feel the shift they’re not just “thinking about building” anymore… they are building.
It’s intense.
Every conversation is a strategy session.
Every coffee break turns into a brainstorm.
By the time the month ends, these founders won’t just have decks they’ll have launches.
All of this leads to one day: Wednesday, August 27th.
That’s when these 8 founders will step up, pitch their products, and show the world what they’ve built.
VCs, ecosystem partners, angel investors, if you’re hunting for the next big thing, this is it. You'll want to be in the room.

📍 AyaHQ x Lisk Africa x LiskHQ Builder Hub, Accra (or join virtually)
And here’s where it gets interesting…
If you’ve been watching these 8 make moves and thought,
“I could build something like that — maybe even bigger,”
then this is your window.
Cohort 3 applications are officially LIVE.
If you’ve been sitting on that “one day I’ll build it” idea… newsflash: one day is today.
The wave of Onchain builders in Africa is rising fast.
From Cohort 1 to 2, we’ve had 370+ applications across 20+ African countries and the bar keeps getting higher.
But here’s the truth nobody likes to say out loud:
Most projects don’t fail because the ideas are bad.
They fail because they never cross the gap between ideas and execution.
That’s where we come in.
The AyaHQ x Lisk Incubation Program exists for founders who are ready to build with purpose not to chase trends, not to make “cool” apps that no one uses, but to solve real problems.
We’re ready to back you with resources, mentorship, and an ecosystem that actually moves the needle.
But you’ve got to come correct. Be clear. Be real and for the love of code don’t send in a generic AI-written application.
If you’re serious, this is your window.
Don’t watch the wave. Ride it.
If you’re heading to ETHSafari 2025 in Kilifi (Sept 11–15), we’ve got good news.
AyaHQ x Lisk Africa x LiskHQ is offering 30 fully sponsored residency slots for builders attending.
That means:
▪️ A space to co-live, co-create, and connect with fellow builders
▪️ Breakfast every morning (because builders need fuel)
▪️Don't miss out on this opportunity to build, collaborate, and grow with fellow Onchain builders
Note travel and local transport are on you.
📅 Applications close: Aug 25, 2025
After weeks of refining, testing, and mentorship, we’ve reached the final showdown.
Eight promising startups have made it through to the last stage of the AyaHQ x Lisk Africa x LiskHQ Incubation Program.
But here’s the thing:
These teams didn’t just stroll in with half-baked prototypes.
They showed up with purpose.
They’re tackling real needs in Africa’s digital and economic landscape — and in just a few weeks, they’ve made progress that turns heads.
We’re talking about:
→ Financial inclusion through crypto payments and stablecoin rails
→ Treasury tools & programmable wallets for onchain businesses
→ Platforms for creators, freelancers, and event organizers
→ Decentralized infrastructure that prioritizes data ownership and usability
Each one stood out for:
→ Sharp technical execution
→ Clear value propositions
→ User-first design
→ Real-world momentum
By the end of August, they’ll be pitching these solutions to the world.
While the Final 8 are deep in build mode, AyaLabs is keeping the wheels spinning and then some.
We’ve got hackathons live right now, and more dropping soon.
If you’re a builder, this is not the time to blink. Opportunities are moving fast, and the ones paying attention will be the ones shipping next.
This month’s already buzzing from EthEnugu (ongoing right now) to ProdFest in Jos and Web3Lagos Conference in Lagos.
If you can, get in the room. You never know which handshake, coffee chat, or side conversation might spark your next big build.
We kicked off July with a Twitter Space featuring some of the builders who’ve stayed at the AyaHQ x Lisk Builder Hub.
This wasn’t the usual “smile for the camera” kind of talk.
It was builders being real about their journeys, the wins that kept them going, the challenges that almost stopped them, and the lessons that reshaped their products.
When they spoke about The No Bullshit Zone, you could feel the conviction.
Here, there’s no hiding behind buzzwords or endless ideation. You’re either solving a real problem… or you’re back to refining until you do.
By the end, it was clear: the hub isn’t just a building.
It’s a pressure cooker for great ideas, where excuses get burned off, and what’s left is real, workable, ship-able products.
Then came the big moment.
Ethereum turned 10, and we joined in to celebrate from Accra to Kenya, our AyaHQ x Lisk Builder Hubs were buzzing.
Over 200 builders showed up.
And when we say “builders,” we mean people who actually believe in what they’re building. People chasing purpose, not just hype..
It wasn’t about cake or hashtags.
It was about taking a moment to reflect on why we started, what’s kept us going, and where the next decade could take us.
We walked away feeling fired up, reassured, and more convinced than ever that the future we’re building is worth it. And if you ask us, the next 10 years? Bullish.
If you’re still reading this is your sign to join the AyaHQ Builders Collective! Whether you want to network, collaborate, or just get inspired, we’ve got a bunch of exciting events coming up from workshops and hackathons to games and networking.
This month, the applause goes to CoinSafe 👏🏾
They just went live with a purpose-built save-and-earn platform for onchain users built on Lisk and incubated right here at AyaHQ.
Why’s this a big deal?
Because CoinSafe isn’t just another shiny product launch.
It’s solving a real need: helping users grow their assets safely while staying fully onchain.
We’ve watched this idea go from early concept sketches to a fully functional platform and now it’s ready for you to use.
We’re not just here for the hype. We’re here for the builders, the founders, the visionaries.
Through:
AyaHQ x Lisk Builders Hub – Where builders live, work, and create.
AyaLabs – Fueling hackathons and developer growth.
AyaHQ x Lisk Incubation Program – Helping Web3 founders build scalable projects.
The Human Layer Movement – Championing collaboration in Web3.
The market doesn’t dictate our momentum, we do.
So if you’re serious about building in Web3, you know where to find us.
