Q1 Achievements
📍 Got featured on Base
We started the year with a feature in a base article, which proves we're onto something awesome in the web3 space. Learn more here!
📍 RetroPGF
Round 3 of RetroPGF was a major win for us. We earned 28,291.09 OP, showing us that we're not alone in our journey, and that we're creating something truly remarkable.
📍 Partnerships
Q1 is getting even better! We sealed partnerships with Hyperlink, Forward, Zbyte, and NEAR AFRICA DAO.
📍 Speaker at Eth Denver panel
This is really exciting for us at Eth Denver! We're gearing up to host one of the biggest gatherings of builders and innovators. Our Founder and Co-founder were live participants at EthDenver. Our Co-founder even got the opportunity to join a panel discussion hosted by Scroll, focusing on global payment methods.
📍 Edutech Award
We proudly received the prestigious Edutech award of the year from the Ghana Fintech and Payment Association for the second consecutive time.
📍 Signup on AyaLabs
We brought on board 6 organizations to host their inaugural hackathons on AyaLabs. These include Web3Afrika, CodeAfrica, Hack4Futo Women In Defi, Web3Bridge, and Near Africa DAO.
📍 Aya Talent Collective Challenge
During Q1, we organized a community hackathon, challenging participants to create a gamefi application. Six teams joined in, and we witnessed the birth of six distinct projects. Excitingly, three teams stood out as winners: CasinoFi, Ultimate Galaxy, and Xenrena.
📍 Hosted workshops
One of our goals was to provide our community members with hands-on experience through workshops. We offered both technical and non-technical sessions covering topics such as understanding gamification on blockchain, community building through writing, user research, and empathy building.
📍 Hosted X-spaces
We organized X-spaces featuring exceptional speakers such as Sarah Idahosa, the founder of Women In Defi; KarlaGod, the founder of Crypto Smart; Someh Crypto, the founder of Felbeth; Ayodeji Awosika, the founder of Web3Bridge; and many more. They covered diverse topics including harnessing the bull run as a Builder, cultivating a personal brand in 2024, and comprehending the concept of public good.
