An overview of Dao infrastructure projects

Recently, many large and small Dao organizations, including constitutiondao and assangedao, have sprung up, and there are Dao figures behind some non-profit organizations, game associations and defi governance.

For the Dao structure without center or weak center, there is more or less the problem of low efficiency, so there is an urgent need for some tools to assist.

In the management of Dao, in addition to the centralized collaboration tools such as note and Google doc, there are also some decentralized components such as collab land, Gnosis safe and snapshot, but the "jigsaw puzzle" of these tools are somewhat scattered.

Can we provide a dedicated, integrated and one-step infrastructure for Dao? At present, some teams are working on collaboration tools designed specifically for Dao, and have received financing from head institutions since the new year.

(for example, Dao tools such as mee6 and poap are not within the scope of this article. You can view the list of tools here)

SuperDAO

Superdao aims to create an integrated platform for Dao. It was established in October last year and consists of a remote team of more than 30 people. It is headquartered in San Francisco.

Superdao provides multi chain support including Ethereum, polygon, Solana, near and algorand. At present, superdao is still in the testing stage and needs to apply for trial. There is no perfect project document for the time being. However, it can be seen from the pictures provided on its official website that the dashboard integrates functions such as member management, treasury management and proposal management. (some other demo diagrams are also provided here, including task Kanban, NFT, token airdrop tool, etc.)

Within 24 hours of superdao's open application, more than 500 organizations submitted trial applications.

On January 26 this year, superdao announced that it had completed a seed round financing of US $10.5 million, with a valuation of US $160 million. This round of financing is led by signal fire and invested by fundamental labs, alliancedao, pear VC, digital, Shima capital and other institutions. Product leaders from coinbase, opensea, rainbow, Kraken and telegraph also joined this round of financing.

Squads Protocol

On Solana, the Dao infrastructure squares protocol has started its main network. Squads is designed to help Web3 native teams organize and complete chain decisions and manage digital assets.

Squads supports the creation of two modes:

Multisig is a multi signature wallet with the same function as gnosis safe, that is, multiple signatures are required to confirm a transaction;

Teams provides token free on chain membership and member weighted on chain voting.

Each mode has a built-in vault that allows you to deposit and send ft and NFT.

Squads has established a cooperative relationship with raydium and integrated the liquidity pool of raydium in its vault. After the Dao proposal is passed or multiple signatures are confirmed, users can exchange more than 600 tokens directly in the vault.

Next, squads will also launch built-in chat integration, pledge and structured products, as well as some compliance components.

At the end of February this year, squares announced the completion of US $5 million strategic financing, led by multicoin capital, and participated by jump capital, Delphi digital, collab + currency, seedclub ventures and volt capital.

Bribe Protocol

Different from the above two projects, bribe is a Dao infrastructure with defi attributes and specific functions.

It introduces the concept of voter extractable value (VeV), that is, the holders of Dao governance tokens can pledge these tokens in the pool and "rent" their voting rights. Similar to the "bribery" in the election, which may be the reason why the project is called bribe.

For the holders of governance tokens, if they are not interested in the proposal, they can pledge the tokens in bribe to obtain benefits; For community members interested in a proposal, they can rent this token to vote without holding a large number of token positions. However, the impact of this "bribery" on Dao governance may still be debated.

Other protocols will be added by briave, and only other protocols will be supported by briave. At present, there is a total lock up volume of US $5.4 million on AAVE, with a converted APR of 48.41%.

On January 13 this year, the defi governance platform bribe announced that it had completed a seed round of financing of US $4 million. This round of financing was led by Spartan group and participated by dragonfly, hypersphere, fundamental labs, iosg, fenbushi capital, rarestone capital, gravityx, Shima capital and segment.
