Drumming up interest for bard.eth

Today Google announced Bard, their answer to ChatGPT. It seems like the right moment to share how I want to use my ENS bard.eth:

Imagine an AI-based character, always present in every metaverse under the handle bard.eth. Anyone can interact with its smart contracts by talking to it: like an AI chatbot or personal assistant, accessible on-chain and in-game, with the feel of a friendly NPC that offers you a personalized experience.

Here are some examples:

Use case #1: A jukebox for the metaverse

Send 0.1 ETH to bard.eth and receive an AI-generated music NFT, with lyrics and genre based on your current NFT holdings and on-chain history. Or pay bard.eth to send a diss track to another ENS you know. It's like a village jester showing up in your wallet.

Use case #2: A friendly guide to new users

Ping bard.eth and get recommendations for dApps or on-chain actions. For example, someone who uses ETH mainnet to trade can be better off using Arbitrum. Or get notified that an unclaimed airdrop is available. It’s like the friendly tutorial NPC at the start of any game.

Use case #3: A tailored front-end for receiving on-chain data

Instruct bard.eth to help you keep track of ETH price or your liquidation ratio in Aave while you're slaying monsters in Illuvium. Bard.eth sends you a message in-game, at any interval or in any format you'd like. It’s like IFTTT but for on-chain data.

How to contribute?

Since these ideas are just ideas for now, and it's all about execution, this post is to drum up interest from builders and technical co-founders who see this as a starting point of a conversation around utilizing bard.eth.

If you're excited about this and want to help turn this ENS into an actual product, collect this post and I'll keep you posted!

About me: I have over a decade of experience in product, from being a founder and a product lead at a crypto company. I registered bard.eth over two years ago and was toying with the above ideas for some time, but I always thought it would be too early to execute them. Now the time seems right to build a team and product.
