Beautifood - Some Features

Beautifood protocol is like a shared backend behind lots of frontend UIs, each customised to promote the merchant’s own brand. On top of the Beautifood protocol, each brand can have their own L2 for them to better manage their sales, supply chain, advertisement, memberships, etc.

Template-based/Customised UI

By providing UI templates, micro-businesses can get onboard quickly, for example, a food truck owner would only need some basic order management features for them to start with, so they just use our template to set up a simple terminal and they are good to go. While those who wish to do more customisations are free to do so by fine-tuning our templates or developing a new front.

Omnichain Interoperability

A good feature that comes from omni-chain interoperability is that users can convert their loyalty points from one to another brand. Thus with one account (wallet), a user can access the loyalty features of all merchants. And small merchants or even individuals can have the ability to build a powerful reward system. This aggregation makes the entire community a huge merchant.

Mixer Digital Receipt

We introduce the concept of a mixer in this project, where transactions are submitted to a mixer, and the merchants will claim the transactions afterwards. The mixer will generate a signed proof of transaction that acts as a digital receipt for the users. This mixer can better protect the merchants’ privacy since a shop’s sales data is confidential. We can generate loyalty points based on the digital receipt provided. The validity of the digital receipt can also be easily verified.

Privacy Conserved Big Data

We can predict user behaviour through the data collected in the system. Since we only collect data based on wallet address, no personal information is collected, thus privacy is preserved while we provide the best experience for users. The scope of data we have is extremely broad, enabling us to understand the user and predict what the user will do. Such predictive analysis is a useful tool that can provide highly customised services to our users, however, on traditional web2 systems, user privacy is often abused. However, in the web3 world, the wallet acts as a sandbox that isolates the user’s identity, thus preserving users’ privacy. ZK-related techniques can be also implemented in this.

Modularity

We take a modular approach in building this protocol, so we can create some highly specific features that some merchants require. For example for shops that sell luxury items such as bird nests, caviar, ginseng, etc, we can add a function to identify and prove the certification of such goods.

Lite

We can also have a lite version for small hawkers in night markets/food trucks. Just a simple app to help them to manage their orders, manage the queue. No big screen is needed, they can just use their phone as a screen, put it on a stand and connect it to a power/power bank. We aim to provide them with a platform to build their brand on, and lower the cost and skills needed to create a customised app for their business process.
