Incetivized SUI

Blockchain technology has been the talk of the town for the past few years. With the rise of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance, the world has seen the potential of this technology to change the way we interact with money and financial systems. One of the latest projects that is making waves in the blockchain community is Sui.

Sui was only announced to the world last year, but since then, the team behind Sui has been working hard to develop a secure, performant, and decentralized blockchain network. The team has achieved several milestones, including the finalization of Sui Move, an improvement on the original Move instantiation in Diem, and the open-sourcing of Narwhal/Tusk consensus, which has been integrated with Sui to support shared object transactions.

The Sui community has been growing at an impressive rate, with over 5,000 full nodes running in 65 countries and 271 cities. The team behind Sui would like to express their gratitude for the engagement and support of their community, as it has been instrumental in the early phases of this major project.

In August 2022, Sui's Incentivized Testnet has been kick off, marking the next step towards launching a decentralized mainnet. The testnet will be organized as a series of waves, each consisting of a "sink" or an operational challenge and a "swim" or a Move-based Sui developer challenge. The first three waves will focus on network, staking, and updates, while the last wave will focus on incentives.

The Sui Foundation will also come live during the early waves of the testnet and will play a crucial role in promoting the use cases, applications, and ancillary infrastructure and services of the Sui network. The foundation will provide token grants and developer support for users and builders of the Sui network.

Sui's Incentivized Testnet is a unique opportunity for the community to contribute to the development of Sui and make it a battle-tested and ready network for mainnet. The team behind Sui is calling on all potential validators, developers, and friends of Sui to participate in the ongoing DevNet, post questions and feedback on the Discord channel, and listen to the weekly AMA sessions on Twitter spaces.
