Crypto is full of scammers and scams. Below are things you try to practice watching out so you won’t fall these scams or even prevent yourself from getting hacked!
This is a must. Scammers targets ad-networks or even sometimes inject malicious javascript code. Ensure you have an ad-blocker and activated always!. My recommendation is uBlock Origin. Get it at Chrome Webstore
Scammers will post a twitter reply to a well known crypto twitter account for say example Circle. It will trick you into thinking that it is Circle that posted it ~it copies the profile image and name. Never click and get suck into click that website and connecting your wallet. You signing a transaction will enable the attacker access to your coins -- even if you are on a hardware wallet!
Just don’t. If you get a DM from someone saying he/she wants to help you. Block them right away. Never click any message from them etc. Any DM to you without you asking them to DM you -- insta Report Spam and Block!
