It Pays to Be Honest

The picture above which shows a father and son reveals a situation that is not very welcome especially putting yourself in the trouble of the boy since at present he has a lot of explaining to do. There is a football next to him, and as you can see, his father is pointing at a broken window. Logic can tell us that the boy was playing his football when he accidentally broke the window.

When his father inquires about what has happened to the window, what will the boy say? For him, honesty is the best policy. Honesty should be the basic principle for human beings.

According to Pangu, who is a god in the legend of China, sincerity is the big axe for the creation of the world. Once, an eminent scholar said "honesty is the basis of being human and it is the basic foundation for growing." And in my opinion, honesty is a blooming flower on the tree of life which should be pursued vehemently in the hearts of all.

Undoubtedly, honesty is a virtue that all people should yearn to acquire. If we treat others with sincerity, we will get more of it from them. The boy realized his mistake and admitted it cordially. He therefore, as any wise man would put it, "walk the first steps as a real human being."
