The Wharton School out of the University of Pennsylvania launched a six-week online course about business in the metaverse. The course intends to educate students about the burgeoning metaverse and give them tools to address issues within it. “Business in the Metaverse Economy,” as it’s called, is one of the first business courses about the metaverse to come out of an Ivy League school.
Meta’s virtual reality (VR) and metaverse division Reality Labs has posted its seventh straight quarter of losses, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg remains steadfast in investing in the technology, which he calls a “massive opportunity.”
The Sandbox announced the partnership with a global gaming company ‘Gravity’ to bring Ragnarok to the metaverse. Through this partnership, Ragnarok LAND will be built in The Sandbox metaverse, as well as various content and NFTs using Ragnarok IP. Furthermore, the users can participate in the future Game Jam themed on the Ragnarok universe and characters.
Singapore’s Second Minister for Law believes an integrated platform using the Metaverse will make the dispute resolution process more convenient and efficient. According to him, “It would not be unthinkable that, besides registration of marriages, other government services can soon be accessed online via the Metaverse.”

This became possible thanks to the extended partnership between Bitcoin-centric gaming startup Zebedee and London-based mobile games studio Viker.
