Situated in the outskirts of Wavespell, the Red Crescent Residences is a modest yet vibrant community, populated mostly by the town's working class. Here lived Jack Arbor, a humble blacksmith and the other lover of the illustrious dancer, Arabella. The tale took a tragic turn when Arabella was last seen in Jack's company before her mysterious disappearance. The adventurers, following the thread of Arabella's past, find themselves in the bustling Red Crescent Residences. The houses, though unassuming compared to the grandeur of the Veridian Estate, are filled with warmth and camaraderie. Arabella, a star in the affluent society, found solace and genuine affection in the company of Jack.
Their love, though hidden from the prying eyes of society, thrived in the candor and simplicity of the Red Crescent community. The clues lead the adventurers to the night of Arabella's disappearance. She was seen in high spirits, departing from Jack's residence for her performance at the Lakeside Ballroom, never to return. Jack, heartbroken and blamed for her disappearance, withdrew from society and was later found dead in his home, leading to further speculation about Arabella's fate.
As the adventurers piece together the fragments of the past, they are visited by the tormented spirit of Jack. His remorseful ghost tells a sorrowful tale of the night Arabella vanished, explaining that they had planned to elope later that night after the performance to free themselves from societal constraints. However, fate had other plans. Upon hearing Jack's tale, the adventurers decide to return to the Lakeside Ballroom, convinced that the answer to Arabella's tragic fate lies there.
A deeper investigation reveals that Arabella had been killed accidentally in the chaos that ensued when their plan to elope was discovered and opposed by a zealous faction of society. Arabella had been driving emotionally after her performance, fleeing from those friends of Lord Veridian who were opposing the marriage and trying to capture her to take to Lord Veridian for a talk to reveal the truth. She got in a car wreck that ended in flames for difficulty in identifying her, and the friends fled town.
It was only later that DNA samples matched and we knew Arabella had not disappeared, but perished that day. Jack, blamed for her death, couldn't bear the pain and died of a broken heart. By uncovering this tragic tale and revealing it to the town, the adventurers bring closure to the ill-fated lovers, ensuring their stories are remembered and respected. Arabella and Jack's spirits finally find peace, their love story serving as a timeless reminder of love that transcends societal boundaries.
Lord Veridian still lives in his Estate and the adventurers also help him to also find closure through the harrowing love triangle ordeal, as he himself admits he was really not as jealous as the so-called brutish friends made it out to be. They could have worked on a symbiotic arrangement. Lord Veridian grieves the emotionally-charged accident, and wishes that he could have worked something out before with his metamour Jack, instead of ignoring the situation for so long. He had not sent the friends to chase, so it was all a terrible mistake. The friends are still long-gone and haven’t been heard from.
