Golden is Web 3.0 Wikipedia. However, what is it particularly mean? To answer this question it worth to look at Wikipedia first. Wikipedia is written and edited by volunteer editors who generate online content with the editorial oversight of other volunteer editors via community-generated policies and guidelines. Wikipedia carries the general disclaimer that it can be "edited by anyone at any time" and maintains an inclusion threshold of "verifiability, not truth".
Golden make a step further in this approach, using blockchain infrastructure, providing DAO governance (currently there is no any information about the DAO, but this is an obvious step from the founders) and stimulating generation of new articles and its verification through financial initiative.
Unlike Wikipedia, Golden will reward their contributors and editors with its own token. By providing financial initiative, Golden hypothetically can attract wider audience. Moreover, although there was no official information on this subject yet, in order to become a contributor or checker in Golden, you will need to purchase project tokens, which will partially burn out in case of spam or inaccurate information. I believe that while becoming an editor or proofreader requires you to buy tokens, active writing or fact checking should offset the costs and generate profits. Thus, on the one hand, the project increases the number of contributors and fact checkers; on the other hand, it reduces the amount of spam and false information.
Currently, you can participate in Golden testnet, which does not require purchase of tokens, and get airdrop for early bird contribution. In addition, you have a chance to become a creator of article about your favorite topic, since Golden does not cover many topics yet.
