Kinetiq ran a weekly points season for HYPE stakers on HyperEVM. Snapshots on Tuesdays. Distributions on Thursdays. Final distribution landed on October 16, 2025. The season is closed, but staking the token and using kHYPE still has a place if you care about yield, liquidity options, and staying positioned for future announcements.

Setup was predictable. Open the Kinetiq Stake page, choose an amount, sign, receive kHYPE. No hidden steps.
The kPoints interface told you enough. Balance, rank, league. The important part was understanding timing. If you looked on Wednesday and saw nothing, that was normal.
The cadence mattered more than any forum tip. Tuesday snapshots, Thursday distributions. Plan around those two words.
Dates that shaped the season
Start: July 15, 2025
Snapshots: every Tuesday
Distributions: every Thursday
Emissions: 800,000 kPoints per week
Goal: get a liquid staked position and keep your options open.

Open the Kinetiq Staking portal. Decide your size. Small test first.
Stake HYPE, receive kHYPE. Track tx on the HyperEVM explorer.
Check venues that list kHYPE pairs. Depth changes. Start with tiny orders and watch slippage.
Keep a log. Date, size, fees, pool address. You will thank yourself later.
Why bother post‑season? Validator rewards continue. kHYPE unlocks a few DeFi routes that HYPE alone does not. If a new season appears, your setup time is near zero.
Latency: UI and indexers lag on distribution days. Checking on Friday is calmer.
Export: if the kPoints page offers export, grab it. Keep a static snapshot of your history.
Gas discipline: HyperEVM gas is cheap, still keep a buffer. Failed transactions cost morale.
I kept it conservative. Venues with public contracts and visible analytics. If a pool looked thin, I left it alone. If fees were unclear, I left it alone. kHYPE pairs existed. Liquidity moved. The rule held: verify the address on the explorer first, then size the position.
Checklist before adding liquidity
Confirm the exact pool address from an official reference.
Look at 24h volume and depth, not just APR banners.
Test withdrawal once with a small position.
Expecting points midweek. Points showed after Thursday runs.
Moving funds right before Tuesday and missing the snapshot.
Chasing APR screenshots from third‑party dashboards that were stale by the time they loaded.
Fix is simple. Use the official kPoints page for accounting, the Stake portal for actions, and the explorer for truth.
kHYPE is the liquid representation. If you want to exit, review the product docs for how redemption works and what timing applies. Do not plan redemptions five minutes before you need the funds. Give yourself margin.
Yes. Final distribution was October 16, 2025.
Validator rewards continue. DeFi routes exist. Points are closed.
No public date in the docs. Track official announcements.
If a future season repeats Tuesday snapshots, then yes, snapshot timing matters.
Open Kinetiq Stake → stake HYPE → get kHYPE
Open kPoints page → historical records and rank
For DeFi use → verify pool address on explorer → start small → monitor slippage and fees
