...allow others to be just who they are.
A man stands in front of him. lamabodhi estimates his height at 1.21 metres. A grey beard hangs over the man's chest down to his hips. The beard is twisted into two neatly tied braids and covers a loose white silk shirt, which is neatly tucked into his moss-green trousers. A dark brown leather tunic is strapped between his beard and shirt. The thing that stands out most about this dwarf is a large sword hanging across his broad back. Depending on how the light falls on the metal, the sword shimmers in the colours of the rainbow. While lamabodhi scrutinises him, the dwarf is digging something out of his leather bag and after a short while he holds a somewhat cigarillo in his hand.
"You smoke?"
"What are you smoking?"
"Some Herbmix. My father has a Garden."
"I would take a drag."
"Sure thing! So, who are you?"
"They call me lamabodhi. I am a Writer & Wanderer.
What is your name?"
"I am Palda, Palda from the Doh."
While he is saying that, he presses his chest out and bumps his fist into it.
"Ooh, you are coming from the Doh? I only heard good things about your family."
"My family is the Best!"
A tear rolls down from his left eye. Palda wipes the tear away with his index finger. He pauses briefly. Closes his eyes, breathes in, holds, and exhales. He looks at lamabodhi & hands him the cigarillo. lamabodhi takes it and takes a drag.
"Tomatoe-mint?"
"Aye! With a hint of hops at the end."
"Excuisite!"
lamabodhi gives him back the cigarillo and looks deep into the dwarf's eyes. The dwarf looks back, unimpressed. Time stands still for a moment...Then it runs on. The wind blows and birds sing.
"I am just about to leave.
Would you like to walk the path ahead of us together?"
"Company when hiking is like the foam on the brew.
Without it, it's bland and hard to enjoy."
As Palda and Bodhilama walk through the forest, they talk about this and that. They seem to have a direct connection to each other. After a short time, they get into a philosophical discussion about which vegetables are the best to combine. In the end, they agree on celery and tomato.
"Tell me, where is your journey taking you?"
"I am heading to the mountains.
I have acquaintances there and a message to bring."
"Ooh, it seems we have the same direction.
I am going to the Western Peaks."
"So, you are also staying the night in the 'Sunny Inn'?
"The sunny Inn? Is this the Inn which comes after the forest?"
"Aye!
The barmaid there sells the best sunflower brew
my tongue has ever touched."
"Yah, that is also my goal."
"Then let's go a step faster, my stomach is already growling and my throat is getting dry."
And so the two of them set off at a faster pace towards the ‘Sunny Inn’. The sun began to set.
