“Dialogue Pistol” by Francesco TortorellaReview by Claudio KomarekDialogue PistolWords hurt more than guns, thought Francesco Tortorella creating this intriguing, funny, and direct work, as always in his style. When I see Tortorella's works, I always think of hundreds of frames from great films that somehow got stuck somewhere in my brain, memorable scenes, posters, and that is what Dialogue Pistol evokes first and foremost. A poster for a movie that was never made, a portrait of a scene...

Review by Claudio Komarek

Cibarius is a complex work, full of references and symbols that sink into social analysis, cultural investigation, and philosophical thought for a deeply human reflection. In a representation that only the virtual reconstruction can give us, in all its absurd and paradoxical truth, the artist follows the subtle and sometimes painful theme of human relationships, that complexity of webs of feelings that envelop us every day in our daily lives.
They are the archetypes that present themselves with shining arrogance, the ground we tread on every day, a world made of levels, as Totò would have said, in which there are those who succumb and those who stand out, a work somehow existentialist this, where the inescapable dimension of man's endemic suffering is overcome only by the manifest and solemn glory of complacency. The hedonist stands out, proud and careless, ultra-powerful portrait of himself, as a meta work, the work in the work, which in the metaverse becomes the work of the work of the work, in an infinite and cutesy quotation in which the artist, with great accuracy, describes us the absurd theatre of life.
It is a theater that we see, where we are the actors, and the roles are the masks that we wear every day... basically art what is if not the dream representation of a world we know, the synthesis of figures and feelings that belong to us forever, because we have been vanquished and victorious.
The scientist explains the world to us, the intellectual analyzes it, the artist shows it to us.
A work this made with great skill, a perfect union between worlds made and worlds artifacts, where the details play a role as central as unconscious. But it is the conceptual part that elevates this composition to a sensational creative level, art makes us think, art makes us more aware, art shows us what we often do not see.
