we found ourselves saying ,,wtfh??” so often that it became an everyday vibe. it was damn near impossible to keep up w/ all the fomo we faced in our doomscrolls. so we turned to community to explore the wild trends, culture + memes shaping our world 🌍 its now become pretty obvi we are in one of the most exciting times in our human simulation,,, so how do we wrap our noggins around the new worlds were buidling❔

these days our feeds + timelines are lo key full of shitposts, spicy memes + jpeg shills. it seems like every day theres a chill new social app or crypto project dropping. fomo is real real. confusion 🥺 cancellations 😵 content 🤩 everywhere. the nextgen is hopping into the metaverse hard to try and escape the fud of the irl meatverse

lets be real… its big faxx the world can be a scary, fkd up place… cultivating an abundance vibe around life + our new w3 worlds seems more important than ever

the genesis of @wtfh came from a conclusion that many wayyy smarter people had also run... what was missing in our doomscrolls wasnt more doom content, it was better curated doom… and btw this has been written ab before by legends like @gaby.eth… if you havent checked her drop on how curators are the new creators ya probably should do that now

while we werent necessarily onto identifying as curators (we leave that to the 👸s + 🤴s) its probably the best way describe what @wtfh has been manifesting during our preseason. turns out 👉 the great unbundling also means we need better bundles just to keep up w/ the good homies, relevant trends + new drops 📈📈

nobody, no one at all… everyones a creator… its true that most homies have a pod, newsletter, stream… no doubt there are some 🔥 drops out there. we wanted @wtfh to be a bit different so we hacked together a 📲💧 (txt drop) using cheap modern tools that went out every friday @4:20pm est all around the globe 🌐

after spiking on all the newsletter products we landed on substack cause the vibe felt right… next we started playing around w/ premium deep dives 🤿 exclusive community events 🎟 and a bit of investing 🎲

were super into creators owning their stacks + growing organically so this wk were also launching on mirror 🪞+ yes, icymi @wtfh also very recently dropped a social pod on callin, so gmi 🥴

we buidlrs of future all use different semantics these days 🤌 our language is deeply rooted in internet slang, gms + an overwhelmingly refreshing sense of wgmi. the terrors of the pandemmy drove us to choose our own adventures online. our chats play out fast af in shortform videos, pods, threads + discord servers. the homies have squaded up, linked in housepartys (🪦gone too soon), jammed on roblox. all this parallels geographic friction allowing us to roam freely as nomads from airbnbs to outsites + flee from rona locked down tech hubs to new zones like mia 🌴

these wild times are also wen massive plays are made + fail w/out community support no matter who grabs the bag. wtf is a clubhouse? anyone remember quibi? rip facebook… and hot social summer wasnt so hot

new sides of tiktok + spotlight have created dances, challenges + remixes. the comment sections have us crying and throwing up on new emoji + slang that made little to no sense to outsiders who werent in on the vibe. w3 turns over @ 10x the speed of w2

creators have also finally started to get some of the cred + recs they deserved. collabs emerged to produce brilliant new tools to tip + support frens

as ‘21 came to a close almost everyone who was buidling pivoted to w3 + the internet did $40b in nft transactions to close last yr 😳

takeaway 👉 sliding into season 2️⃣ of the roaring twenties hasnt played out the way anyone expected. weve learned to live on the internet in servers + spaces. we made new frens + frenemies in these 3rd places. we have doubled down on buidling new worlds cause the old ones dont cut it anymore 🪴

this wk marks💧5️⃣2️⃣ (sub 4🆓 📲 here)… we took our time running experiments + minting new products on our way towards buidling our 💯 true fans s/o @lijin18 🙌 our frens have invited their circles to slide thru + embrace the wkly doomscroll. we designed + dropped new products, stanned startups, buidlt communities, traveled, got covid, wrote, gamed, inspired interns lived laughed loved

we also shipped over a dozen original designs from our #first trash nft drop, new drip and worked on buidling everything from gpt3 genz chat bots to creator tools from our vibe studio w/ modern frameworks + hype physics ✨

and were curating wayyy more drops + collabs in our dms that we always write ownership of to the wtfh community 🪙

the pandemmy forced us to get more scrappy + to recognize real. we made mega strides forward in connecting talented, energetic + driven circles. our sense of fashion + style evolved 💅 smart people continue to find new ways to support themselves while coming together in communities + daos to revolutionize + solve the most pressing social + deeptech problems we face 🌌
