For the Love of the Burgers

BurgerDAO is a grassroots movement seeking to change the way we come together to enjoy the burger sandwich in all its various, delicious forms. Using Web3 technologies, we aim to create a vibrant, global community of burger-lovers, with a strong focus on local community autonomy. To do this, we have dreamed up several key concepts that anyone, anywhere will be able to utilize and contribute to the BurgerDAO framework. We welcome people to contribute their own ideas as we get this show on the road.

Web(3) of Burgers

To be truly decentralized, we must create a vast and redundant network, with no central leadership or administrators. Rather, we’ll seek champions of BurgerDAO, helping people to start BurgerDAO franchises wherever they are in the world. Boosh and Kirkland Brand Zac Efron will create the first BurgerDAO franchise location in Honolulu, Hawaii. This franchise will be a simple burger stand: a tent, some tables, a cooler, and a griddle, operating a couple weekends a month in locations near the beach. We’ll be testing out various concepts and operating in a transparent manner. All of this will be broadcasted on Twitch and YouTube for BurgerDAO supporters to view and manage operations.

If a couple of aspiring cooks want to start a BurgerDAO franchise in Los Angeles, the BurgerDAO community can help get them started. Whether its funding from the treasury, Web3 support (NFTs & tokens), marketing or branding; the BurgerDAO community is there to support the franchises. BurgerDAO LA can be a stand, a food truck, a brick & mortar; it’s really up to the franchise founders and the DAO. Rather than being a sub-DAO, BurgerDAO LA will act as a Layer 2 (L2) DAO, a unique entity with its own token economy and ecosystem, gaining support from the Layer 1 (L1) BurgerDAO.

To become a BurgerDAO franchise, individuals can submit their proposals to the BurgerDAO, and anyone hodling BURGER tokens will be able to vote on its approval. More on this in future articles.

Every individual burger chef is unique, and we believe every BurgerDAO franchise can be as well. In the United States, there are many different styles of burgers that people love. Check out this article that gives a small sampling of regional burgers in America (shout out George Motz!). BurgerDAO will act as a repository of good burger recipes, voted on by the community, which can then be incorporated into local franchise menus. We encourage the sharing of ideas, as we can all learn something new from a global community of burger connoisseurs.
