“get with the program” 24HR auction, clock not yet started.
hello again. #lover. it’s a pleasure to be here with you once more. thank you for taking a moment out of your day to exchange energy with me.
yesterday, we shared our newest 1/1 NFT, “get with the program,” now available via auction on Zora. this piece takes us into the depths of chapter 2 of the larger story being chronicled through these NFT releases. we had chapter 1, parts 1 and 2, with “matrix, the genesis,” and “matrix: the music video,” touching on the moment where we go from victims of our circumstance to empowered creators of our realities.
ch 2 will explore the process of shedding our identities to open ourselves up to the infinite potentials of experience that are BEING HUMAN. “get with the program” is part 1 in this chapter, alluding to the formation of our identities through the hypnotic cyclical nature of our collective consciousness, and commenting on the structures that this repetition and perpetuation creates as boundaries within which we are encouraged to exist. choose to get with the program, or be cast out. how is what we collectively choose to believe and uphold influencing and dictating who we come to be during our time on this Earth?

gwtp was originally conceptualized and created by my partner, Jaime Estalella, and i, as a video canvas for the Spotify release of “IGNORANCE SONG” by BXB LOVE. a multi-media visual meant to elevate the listening experience of the song and further communicate its energetic frequencies.
like most of our creations, we went into this with an idea of WHAT we were intending to create, but the WHY behind it, the meaning, didn’t some to reveal itself to use until after the piece was completed. we had 2 elements we were not willing to compromise when taking the idea from concept to manifestation. we felt they were integral to the sort of experience we wanted it to deliver.
we wanted it to be a perfect loop, giving it a sort of hypnotic and endless feel -- which came to symbolize the cyclical nature of consciousness, and how it manifests as archetypes of energy, on micro and macro levels, that also exist and move in cycles, ie trees, humans, animals, weather, countries, etc.
we wanted to have the TV from the matrix visualizer incorporated, either breaking or malfunctioning at the “end” of the loop -- which came to mean ( for me) that there are moments and opportunities for us to become conscious of the loops we exist within and choose to engage with them differently.
figuring out how to ensure it was a perfect loop was probably our biggest challenge. we drew up many designs, and finally found our way to the perfect execution, zooming out of a TV only to reveal that it’s a TV within a seemingly endless procession of TVs. in the end we decided to go with TV malfunctioning and going crazy instead of the glass breaking because that would allow for the looping aspect to work more seamlessly.
the sound design element wasn’t added to the piece until this past week, as we were preparing the piece to be minted as an NFT. as it wasn’t going to have the song supporting it, like it does when viewed on Spotify, we wanted to give the piece a little world of its own. Jaime composed a drone piece that lends this sort of “heavenly” essence to the experience, which we layered over the sound design and fx, done by me.
like all our pieces, we hope for each viewer to allow their own meaning to come to them through witnessing the piece. or no meaning at all. these words are simply meant to give you a glimpse into our inner worlds and process <3 ty for reading.
a portion of the funding raised from the sale of this 1/1 NFT piece will go towards forming and compensating a band of femme and gender deconstructing baddies, and creating a transcendent live music experience for LOVERs around the world.

compensating a music director, who will help take the recorded music and adapt it into an arena-worthy live set
renting a rehearsal space
on March 30th, 2022, BXB LOVE will have been in our collective reality and consciousness for 365 days! where does the time go?! in celebration of this milestone, LOVE and their team are looking to throw an irl experience for friends, fam, and fans to come together and enjoy an evening of music, celebration, food, party games, and more. think early 2000s birthday party, but for grown beings. this will also be BXB LOVE & the Boys debut performance.
as a part of the 1st Birthday of BXB LOVE, LOVE plans to do an exclusive goodie bag merch drop -- like the bags you’d get when leaving a friends bday as a child. all items in the drop will be designed and hand-made by LOVE, but funding is required to acquire the raw materials to make the pieces. these items will only be available as a goodie bag once, but they may then be available as single items down the line. we are also exploring making some of the items utility pieces to be included for folks who join the partybid for “get with the program.”
