But we're applying them to NFT drops and digital treasuries instead.
The gap: Right tools, wrong context. The technology landed where it was easiest to deploy, not where it was needed most.
Most Web3 projects build DAOs to govern tokens. It's easier than doing the real work.
The real work requires something simple but terrifying.
You would need to meet your neighbor.
Web3 builders talk endlessly about "community" while skipping that most basic step. They've created platforms so inaccessible that they exist "somewhere out there" to average users.
We're looking at the result of an imposed system already. Web3 names the restoration needed to eradicate a century of corporate capitalism that allowed the few to own what belongs to all.
The diagnosis is accurate.
The prescription got applied to something that doesn't matter.
What's missing: The foundation of connection that makes community infrastructure possible. Without it, we build systems that hold nothing.
I'm building c3 Community Partners as a registered nonprofit, DAO, and LLC in Tennessee. I'm a solo founder with no experience in community development, coding, or blockchain.
But I've held this vision for more than a decade.

Web3 landed where it was easiest to deploy: digital assets and virtual communities. Real-world application requires physical presence, relationship building, and navigating existing power structures. That's harder than launching a DAO.
