How the United States lost ally to communism?

In brief, the United States sabotaged its ally, the Republic of China, for its enemy, the Chinese Communist Party.

During World War II, the ROC was a vital ally, at least in Asia-Pacific, of America under Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Administration, whereas the CCP was recognized as a gang of anti-governmental rebellious bandits affiliated to Comintern.

After Empire of Japan's surrender in 1945, Manchuria, Japan's critical source of war resources during WWII, was controlled by the Soviet Union. Then CCP troops reached Manchuria soon for crucial war resources while the main force of ROC military was delayed in Burma. Later on, ROC troops also arrived in Manchuria to suppress CCP rebels.

In the spring of 1946, ROC troops encircled and suppressed CCP rebels in Manchuria and were about to annihilate CCP troops. However, the US special envoy of the president Harry S. Truman, George Catlett Marshall Jr., threatened to cut off military aid and requested ROC President Chiang Kai-shek repeatedly to suspend the military action.

ROC President Chiang Kai-shek was forced to issue a truce order, which gave CCP the opportunity to gain significant war resources and deploy a large amount of troops to Manchuria during the four months of cease-fire negotiations.

Instead of supporting ROC, the Harry S. Truman's Administration imposed a strict embargo on the ROC, which lasted until November of 1947 and reversed the overall situation in Manchuria completely.

In 1948, the CCP launched major campaign in Manchuria and took over the strategically pivotal region under the support of Soviet Union, and the situation turned out to be totally unmanageable for ROC. The ROC government was eventually forced to retreat to Taiwan.

Before long, CCP occupied the entire China, started Soviet Union-style colonization, and committed crimes against humanity including cultural genocide and massacre against native Chinese civilians.

Finally, the United States fell victim to its own fault and is facing cross-cutting challenges from the CCP. It is time for the US to make up for embracing communists and support the tormented Chinese people to tear down the inhuman CCP colonizer.
