Mostly in my free time, I enjoy watching some videos on YouTube especially about places that I’ve never been. If they involve nature and beauty, it’s always a bonus for me.
In one of those days I discovered Huckbery’s YouTube channel, where they make interesting videos especially about USA, and its natural beauties. Huckberry is a clothing company which I find their marketing team to be very successful after seeing their videos.
Wyoming was the subject in one of the series and there was this scene (👇) in particular that stood out to me. You see, I try to take screenshots of things and put them in my notes to be used later on for my works.

So I started working on my basic shapes to make the rough shape using Vectornator.

After the rough shape starts to take shape, I keep on adding smaller shapes to include details and texture, such as mountains in the backdrop, clouds in the sky and some other simple shapes on the grass.

Little detail such as giving depth and adding shadows is usually the last stage. Right after this, I export the image and send it to my iPhone and my computer to see the piece on different screens. This is very important for me as it is usually looking very different on various screens and sometimes I don’t like how it looks - so I make necessary adjustments.

If I’m finally happy with the result, I export the image to Procreate. This is not always the case, but for Wyoming I had to add the text to the sign. Of course I could have added text on Vectornator as well, but Procreate’s Warping and Distortion features on texts is amazing.

After this stage, I use Pixelmator Pro, a photo manipulation program to add the grain effect - which I love for whatever reason - and sometimes play with the colors as well to give a certain “vibe” to the image.

After this stage, Wyoming was ready to be minted.
It’s available on Foundation at the moment.
