SECURITY 101
This space is getting rough every day, let's talk about security. Use SAFE, Stay SAFE.
I was wondering why SAFE (formerly known as Gnosis SAFE) raised $100M in their just concluded Seed Round but the recent hacks made me realized SAFE is criminally undervalued, it's one of the GEM in this Era
To cut the story short, SAFE as the name sounds is a multisig wallet that requires one or multiple signatures/approvals from different people or addresses before such a transaction can be successfully approved or sent.
SAFE wallet can be used just like normal wallets (TrustWallet, MetaMask Etc) to interact with different platforms and also gives highest level of security with little disadvantage compared with other security wallets.
Here is how it works
Create or import existing SAFE https://gnosis-safe.io
Set 2 or more wallets as signatory to the SAFE. The signatories can be your different wallets Plus your friend’s wallets.
For Example, you can set 3 addresses as signatory to your safe and out of these 3 addresses, make two belongs to you and the remaining one belongs to your friend.
You can set the number of addresses to confirm transaction before the token is sent. For Example, you can set 1 of 3 or 2 of 3 or even 3 of 3 Etc
No maximum number of signatories, add as many wallets as you want
Having said some of the good sides, be cautious of these; SAFE presently supports major 9 Mainnet Networks and 2 Testnet Networks
The address that will be generated when you create SAFE on different Network will be different and each address is only configured to receive token on their Chain.
This means you can't send tokens on Ethereum Network to address generated on Polygon Network or Arbitrum token to Optimism Network like we used to do on TrustWallet, MetaMask Etc, you will loose the fund
Send token to the appropriate SAFE address
You may hunt airdrops with your normal wallet but save your money using SAFE
Stay SAFE, use SAFE
