Eternal Atake

Lil Uzi Vert - Lost in Space

Does the album "Eternal Atake" ring the bell when somebody would say that was the turning point in Uzi's career? The leak of that original version of the album made the artist feel compelled to record a new release with the same concept almost from scratch, but this surely affected the sound and the quality of the release. And don't get me wrong, this first part of the album wasn't bad at all; quite the contrary. The fact is that it just could have been much better, more interesting and diverse. Here, though, is where the fans were divided between those who believed in Uzi and those who saw the release as the beginning of the end of Saimir.

What can be said from the second part of "Eternal Atake"? It is clear that Uzi wanted to lure the audience with a continuation of the release, which they had been waiting for so long, and thereby raised the bar of expectations. It would be like if Carti announced a second "Whole Lotta Red", not a single mistake on the release would be forgiven. Did Vertikalny manage to make a worthy continuation? No. The biggest problem Uzi has is the personal and creative crisis. He tries time and time again to present his new image to people, but actually he shows them the same Uzi-only the quality and interesting music is worse-over which now sound other antics, copying his friend Carti-be it the "werewolf" on "Pink Tape" or a low voice here. It is clear that Uzi wants to evolve, just like Jordan, but he really does not get why everybody praises the vampire and laughs at him.

The album starts really cheerfully; I really liked "Light Year"-strongest flow and excellent instrumental. I also paid great attention to "Not An Option" and "Chips and Dip", which were very dynamic and interesting tracks, very much similar to the first part of this album. "Chill Bae" is generally a banger for the charts-really a sincere track, good lyrics; it's stuff that I haven't seen from Uzi in quite a long time. But. All that's covered by the album being blurry and just completely not understanding why they loved the first part.

But in some places, the efforts of Saimir are still visible. Despite the fact that the album turned out to be extremely controversial and long will become a topic of discussion, I can say with confidence: at times even I like it. This is far from what I would like to see from an artist of this kind, but at least it gives some hope to work on mistakes on upcoming "Luv Is Rage 3".????
