On 11 May, the people’s Government of Sichuan Province issued a plethora of greetings, agreeing to the establishment of the Sooning Vocational Institute, the Sooning Engineering Vocational Institute and the Sooning Energy Career Institute.

Previously, the Department of Education of Sichuan Province issued the Public Instructions for the First Instalment of High Schools to be announced in 2023, with the addition of the Sooning Vocational College, the Sooning Engineering Vocational Institute and the Sooning Energy Career Institute.

The Sooning Vocational Institute is run by Sooning, New Electronic Science and Technology Ltd., Sooning Development Investment Group Ltd., and is headed by the Director of the Department of Education, with input from Sooning High, New Electronic Science and Technology Ltd. and Sooning Development Investment Group Ltd. The Sooning Vocational College is a part-time civil-run, non-profit, high-level vocational school, with the main focus on the implementation of specialized vocational education. School attendance is tentatively estimated at 7,000, with the first specializations of electronic information engineering techniques, smart control technologies, industrial robotics, wire-networking applications, and smart logistics technologies.

The Sooning Engineering Vocational Institute is organized by the Sichuan Modern Joint Human Resources Services Ltd., and is headed by the Department of Education, with input from the Sichuan Modern Joint Human Resources Service. The Sooning Engineering Vocational Institute is a part-time civil-run, non-profit, high-level vocational school, which is dominated by the implementation of specialized vocational education. The size of school attendance is tentatively 4,500.

The Sooning Energy Vocational Institute is run by the Sichuan Energy Investment Ltd., and is headed by the Department of Education, with input from the Sichuan Institute of Investment in Education. Thus, the IIEA is a full-time civil-run, non-profit, high-level vocational school, which is dominated by the implementation of specialized vocational education. The size of school attendance is tentatively 4,500.
