Various issues were addressed, including fixing CESS Node errors in calculating user space, TEE Worker signature verification failures, and timeout issues in TEE Worker reverse proxy connections, preventing timely results to be returned to storage nodes.
Completed testing of CESS Node’s data migration in complex scenarios with large data volumes and diverse data types, validating the seamless online upgrade functionality of the storage network.
Optimized and upgraded various workflows of storage nodes to enhance efficiency and stability.
CESS participated in Taipei Blockchain Week 2023.
CESS Senior Ambassador Andy presented CESS decentralized storage and CDN solutions at the Vara Meetup in Shenzhen.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.5 and consists of consensus node and storage node. Consensus node maintain the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node)and serve as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage node provide verifiable storage space and serve as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Miner [v0.7.5]
Fixed an issue with CESS Node in the file quick upload feature, where user space calculation was incorrect.
Optimized TEE Worker’s file tag calculation function, adding signatures for critical algorithm parameters to prevent forgery.
Resolved an issue where TEE Worker’s reverse proxy connection timeout led to delayed results for storage nodes.
Fixed a problem in TEE Worker’s idle space authentication process, where signature verification of request parameters failed.
Optimized the nodeadm program, refining the user account configuration and parsing functions in the config-gen module.
Completed testing of CESS Node’s data migration in complex environments, supporting seamless online upgrades for the storage network.
2. Storage Miner [v0.7.6]
Introduced a new storage node status detection module and related status query entry, allowing remote monitoring of storage node work status.
Upgraded the communication method between storage nodes and TEE Workers, supporting gRPC connections based on the HTTPS protocol.
Optimized code flows for storage node registration, idle space authentication, and idle space replacement modules, improving node efficiency and stability.
Enhanced the storage node’s active file random challenge process, with files not reporting completed tag calculations exempt from challenges.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
Upgraded modules and gRPC communication in the go-sdk for interaction with the CESS network to align with the latest version of the storage network.
24 days after the v0.7.5 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
8 consensus node
1,106 storage node
1.11 PiB effective storage space
5.28 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches.
Taipei Blockchain Week 2023 was a resounding success, and CESS is proud to have been an integral part of this dynamic event! Throughout the week, we engaged in insightful discussions about the future of blockchain, decentralised storage, CDN, and other cutting-edge topics. The event provided a platform for meaningful connections, and we expressed our sincere appreciation to everyone who joined us on this journey.

CESS Senior Ambassador Andy represented us at the Vara Meetup in Shenzhen, contributing to a successful event where CESS, alongside Vara Network, explored the limitless potential of Wasm-based public chain dApp development. The engaging discussions and collaboration highlighted the dynamic nature of the event.
