Addressed issues related to the failure of reward distribution for consensus node random challenges and the ineffective activation of TEE Worker shared keys.
The storage node command module was upgraded to display additional data in the “stat” command, including declared space and liability information. A new “space” sub-command for appending storage space was also added.
DeOSS and go-sdk were upgraded. The go-sdk transaction sending module was optimized, and DeOSS authentication methods were improved. The DeOSS file upload process was upgraded to reduce transaction failures and enhance user experience.
CESS Chairman & Co-founder Nick, Co-founder & COO Jessie, and Senior Ambassador & Core Contributor Andy each participated in CESS AMA; RWA Space and DePIN Space.
CESS participated in the Mini Event as a speaker and Demo Day as a judge of the 2023 Winter Polkadot Hackathon.
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.5 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Consensus Miner [v0.7.5]
Completed benchmark coding and testing for the CESS Node oss pallet.
Fixed the issue of random challenge reward failure due to insufficient treasury funds.
Fixed the problem of ineffective activation of shared keys by TEE Worker after codebase reconstruction.
Enhanced the nodeadm program to adapt to the deployment requirements of multiple TEE Worker types.
2. Storage Miner [v0.7.8]
Added display of declared space, liability information, and other data in the storage node “stat” command.
Added “space” sub-command to the storage node “increase” command for appending storage space.
Fixed the issue of storage nodes failing to query random challenge reward income information.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
DeOSS added a feature to filter special characters in user filenames to prevent display issues.
Fixed the problem of DeOSS failing to set blockchain status due to RPC connection failure.
Upgraded the DeOSS file upload process to reduce transaction failure due to insufficient user space.
Upgraded go-sdk transaction sending module to wait an additional 6 seconds after transaction sending, allowing time for the transaction to be confirmed in the block.
Improved DeOSS authentication methods, removing the Token authorization method and updating to use wallet account authentication.
45 days after the v0.7.5 testnet was launched. More details on CESS blockchain explorer. If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on CESS Discord.
9 consensus node
972 storage node
1.87 PiB verified storage space
6.71 PiB total storage space
Event:
The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for CESS tokens when the mainnet launches.
CESS Chairman & Co-founder Nick participated in the Gate.io AMA with Gate.io BD Lulu, where they discussed the future of DePIN. The engaging session provided valuable insights into the vision and plans for the future of our project.

CESS Co-founder & COO Jessie joined the inaugural AMA hosted by the RWA Studio, a collaboration between ThreeDAO space and Professor Yan Meng at Solv Protocol. The insightful session provided a platform to discuss key aspects of CESS and its future endeavors.

CESS Senior Ambassador & Core Contributor, Andy, was invited by 1783dao.eth to join industry experts in exploring the future of the Bitcoin market and opportunities in the DePIN track.

The 2023 Winter Polkadot Hackathon, sponsored by CESS, successfully concluded. Big congratulations to the W3OS team, securing the CESS Bounty! W3OS, a DApp store and on-chain operating system, ensures secure, efficient, private, and rightful data using #CESS storage services!
