There is a feeling one gets when you are about to start something — a restless and tense feeling. You begin to think less of yourself, thinking of how to go about it, how to start, what to write, and if you can you really write.
How To Start? The question of how to start sets in, really there is no right way or wrong way to start I think. The more you sit and think of how to start, the more it seems impossible and almost difficult to start. You know, take for instance; I wanted to start writing some years back but was drawn back by the question “how do I start?”. I was looking for a perfect day or time to start or probably a perfect basis to start on and I never saw myself achieving that.
Waiting for that time doesn’t seem right to me, because time does not stop. It keeps ticking, so that time is now. Don’t sit there just thinking about how to start.
What To Write? Honestly, I must say this was a question I had to answer before getting started. I was weighed down by this question. I had no idea what to write on, not even a topic to say. I wasn’t a professional writer and — these questions kept coming though. I began to think of good and wonderful topics to write on.
Apparently, there is nothing like a new topic, like surfing the internet you tend to see stories on different articles. So many topics have been discussed on the internet and we are in a digital world, everything comes in handy. I was convinced to write about these.
1 Sharing ideas or knowledge
2 Platform to be heard
3 Platform to grow
4 Setting pace to connect
Sharing ideas or knowledge was one good thing about writing that I saw. You have the chance to write about things everybody already knows but it becomes different when you add your ideas or knowledge. It becomes your own creative piece.
Platform to be heard is just another opportunity to be heard by many. It didn’t matter if my article was read, I knew someday it will. In no time— many will read my writing.
Platform to grow will be created when I start writing on medium. Reading other writers’ articles encouraged me to keep writing and gave me the chance to be corrected and grow.
Setting a pace to connect made me able to connect more with an audience, my readers. Their views and comment made me learn more and know areas to write on.
Answers On How To get started I had to have answers to the question “How Do I Start”, and so I had to start from somewhere, anywhere to conquer my inexperience to grow. The passion to grow, connect and impact was my purpose.
There is no limit to getting started except for ‘You’. Conquer all doubts about yourself and just get started in anything you plan to do
