Rug Radio was launched 6 months ago, with a lot of passion, a big vision and excitement. Not everyone wakes up one day and decides to launch a project that doesn't have any examples to hang onto, or a lane to drive in. We all woke up instead and decided to embark on a journey to decentralize media, and give the narrative back to the participants.

As the founder of the project, I am aware that some things could have been done better, some things could have been done faster, and some things are exactly how and where they should be. Taking on the mission to build a truly Web3 native media ecosystem and working our way towards full decentralization is not easy, and hasn't been done before, but someone has to do it.

It took a while to fully get the RugDAO up and running, and we are doing it in a time and space where most DAOs are not functional, or have shown major flaws and complications, therefore working against the wind. However, when we launched Rug Radio, we knew it would take approximately 6 months to get to where we want to get foundation wise, and we managed to make it work in time within the budget that we had set, without touching any of the treasury which stands at 1.3K ETH and 1.5M USDC.

With the Governance Frameworks and the DAO set up being behind us, I'm feeling like a huge weight was taken off my shoulders and that I can finally really focus my time and efforts on other things. Yes, we still have to do some work to finalize it since it just got approved, as you can read in the announcement above, but that won't take much time and we aren't waiting to get moving. An update on proposals and how you will be able to extract value out of the RugDAO will also be coming in the coming weeks.

The Core Team and the Strategic Advisors have started rolling out an updated business development plan and have separated it into 3 categories:

1. DAO (operational structure of the RugDAO, governance, etc.)

2. MEDIA (show/content across all platforms, PR, outreach, partnerships, etc.)

3. TOKENS (bring clarity and value to the Membership Pass, Genesis NFT, $RUG and $RDAO)

We have all split up into different groups in order to remain focused on our tasks and to be able to deliver actionable items to you, the community, to the Rug Radio brand and to the RugDAO.

I will be giving you all a briefer update and inside look on what that looks like next week during Town Hall if you want and we can get into that more in depth!

What I witnessed in New York and continue to see across the board leads me to know that we have something special and that all we need to more hands on to really make it happen.
