This shawl is purely decorative. In 1987, I was the editor-in-chief of "United Literature". At the end of that year, "United Literature" won the Golden Tripod Award for Excellent Magazines issued by the "Executive Yuan News Bureau", and I also won the Golden Tripod Award for Best Editor-in-Chief. On the day of the award ceremony, Sanmao repeatedly urged me to go to her house before going to the venue, so I went according to the appointment. Sanmao opened the door to see me, and called to Aunt Chen, who was in the depths of the house: "Mum! Yanming is here! I said she must not know how to dress herself up. Look how she gets on stage in such a costume? I have to take good care of her. Change the look." Then he took my hand and entered her room. I can't remember what kind of clothes I chose to wear at the time, maybe it was a dress. I think the fabrics are all good, but in Sanmao's eyes, they are usually boring.

I'm skinny and short, and I'm smaller than Sanmao and my shoulders are narrow; She chose a pure white shoulderless long-sleeved top with a high neck and a lace on the chest, which is the typical dress of Western beauties in the early 19th century that we often see in movies. The style is dignified and elegant; The white striped cotton wide skirt to match. The skirt is fitted from the waist to the waist, with a layer of exquisite white hand-embroidered fabric sewn on the outside, connecting the four-piece skirt that is pintucked and slanted wide. The skirt is long to the calf, with a slit on the left side, reaching halfway up the thigh. The skirt is elegant in color, exquisite in workmanship and unique in design. My top and skirt fit me perfectly. Sanmao looked around and was very satisfied. Please come to Chen's mother to take a closer look and praise it. Sanmao did one thing and another, combed my shoulder-length hair into a princess head, and then took rouge for my makeup. Before going out, Sanmao took out a red-purple shawl and wrapped it around me, hugged me happily and said, "It's so beautiful, it's totally your style. Just keep the clothes and wear them. Go!" The moment the applause broke out on the stage to accept the award, I feel like I am Cinderella from the fairy tale Cinderella.
