I came to Nanjing from Shenzhen in August, 2010. In 2022, I took over a villa storage design project of nearly 1000 square meters, and kept a certain number of door-to-door storage consultation. Although I did not have a good performance in the economy, I had a lot of unique experience in this industry. In my opinion, storage design is a profession that can be qualified by accumulating experience and life experience. A woman in her 30s has unique advantages in this profession, so I am full of gratitude and awe for this career. However, I do not recommend young people who have just entered the society to engage in this industry, because home arrangement is not only about arranging objects itself, but also about understanding the various relationships behind the family, as well as the relationship between people, space and objects. Sometimes we have to not only understand, but be good at it. So this job needs someone with life experience. This is a very new industry, full of uncertainties, I take a multi-business route to support myself and my team. It is difficult to support ourselves and our team only by the two services of storage design and door-to-door storage, so we will also provide some value-added services to sell goods.

Industry training is a love-hate thing. It can teach a lot of people about storage, but it doesn't solve the problem of how practitioners can support themselves. So even though many people want me to provide storage training, I don't take action. At present, storage design is still in the savage growth stage in China, and the profit is mainly based on training. When the profitability of an industry is based on training and supplemented by practice, it is basically judged that the industry is not developing healthily. Let's think about the following questions. First, is the training fee reasonable? Some training is run by individuals, others are run by companies and are priced according to the time spent training. Second, is the training institution formal? Can you learn something? I noticed that a lot of the training content on the market is too similar. In fact, a lot of knowledge can be learned for free in books. The training courses are more suitable for people who apply what they learn or practitioners in the design industry to learn, and the practical experience is more tried and learned at home by themselves. Third, can you work immediately after spending more than 10,000 yuan in the institution? Many people ask, do you need a certificate to do this kind of work? A certificate is not required. The certificate only proves that you have learned a part of the knowledge of storage, whether you can do it or not, you can see from your chat with the customer. Whether or not you're flexible, whether or not you're resourceful, whether or not you're a good communicator, that's not something a certificate can fully prove. What's more, the industry relies heavily on referrals and publicity, so you need something real to show people how well you can handle it. Fourth, why can't I pay for training and still have no way to collect it? When I studied in a training institution, I found that many students still could not clean up their own homes after learning. This is because the transfer of knowledge is mostly based on the dualistic thinking: when you encounter a problem, solve it, take three steps and practice four steps. The real world is diverse, involving the elderly in the family, the relationship between husband and wife, busy work, the owner's shopping habits, the pattern of the house and the growth of children, these contents may be many training teachers have not mastered, and how can they teach you?

This is why training institutions train a large number of students, but these students always hit a bottleneck with real customers, unable to land. Another reason hindering the development of door-to-door storage in China is that customers are sensitive to price. Many customers want to use housekeeping money to enjoy customized storage services because they are not sure whether the price is equal to the value of the service. Distrust also leads to unhealthy industry development -- low prices, uncertain orders and fewer opportunities for exploration. A lot of people ask me: "You are so good at organizing, is it the organization taught you well?" Not really. I was probably born to eat this. When I was in college, my friends noticed that I had a unique arrangement of objects. Later, through reading various books on storage, in the 11 years after graduation from university, I have moved eight times, renovated five times, and door-to-door storage for many times, accumulating a lot of practical experience in transformation and storage. In addition, I have studied marriage and parenting for many years and have had hundreds of marriage counseling sessions. The so-called "one-size-fits-all", storage for me is the key to open the door to a new world. I hope that through storage design, I can help more women in their 30s understand the happiness of life, help more families in need of storage, and promote the healthy development of this industry.
