NGMI Trolls is an NFT collection of 5000 unique profile pictures derived from the classic rage comic character Trollface. At a time when the market is looking bleak for many, some comic relief is needed to ensure we don’t all go mad watching our bags plumet to zero. That’s what NGMI Trolls is, a place where we can all sit back and laugh about how we are all ‘NGMI’.

In such an overcrowded market, NFT projects have been using increasingly annoying and absurd marketing techniques to stand out. NGMI Trolls will have no discord and no whitelist grinding and I pledge to not ever turn around and reveal this to be some kind of performance art piece. I think that’s gotten old now and many can see through the charade. In addition to this we will use no paid influencer marketing.

The description says ‘NO BULLSHIT’ and I mean it.

NGMI Trolls will be free to the public and come with a ‘no copyright reserved’ or CC0 license. Allowing holders and community members to use all material in any way they please.

As someone who has been obsessed with memes and meme culture ever since reading my first rage comic in 2009, it seemed obvious to me that the ability for others to transmute and redistribute artwork should not be infringed. Since the origin of this artwork is a viral meme this principal is ever more obvious.

There is a roadmap, but I will not be revealing it. Expect the first announcement to be within 1 week of the mint. The 5% royalty will be used for continued development of this project. The lack of primary sales revenue forces me to continue supporting the project well into it’s adolescence.

I deliberately decided to release NGMI Trolls at a time when people were hurting because of the trajectory of the market and felt bored due to the low quality and inauthentic projects releasing. I want to create value for people who might have missed previous projects, and/or lost money in the market but have stuck around and remained in the community because they believe in the technology and the value that it holds.

This question may require its own entry, lol. In short, the Trollface is an iconic and globally recognisable character for internet nerds and normies alike. I want to build a community of likeminded individuals love memes and internet culture and lighten the mood of the wider NFT community. Everything has gotten so serious with toxicity permeating the space like a wet fart. The mentality of “you’re either with us or against us” is rife, especially in a bear market. NGMI Trolls exist to inject a bit of light-hearted banter into the mix, to mock and poke fun at some, while lifting up and reassuring others, all done in good faith.
