TikTok has the For You/Following quick filters. Farcaster has Following/Highlights/NFTs today. Future FC clients will likely have configurable quick filters from third party “Feed curators” to provide their own algos, both free and paid, that are as easy to install as a bot on Discord.
Users discover Feed algos through a marketplace (similar to App Store UX), word of mouth, and marketed by their fav Internet creators. There’s Feeds for new users to the service, completely uncensored Feeds, political wonks, NBA geeks, comedy, porn, self-improvement gurus, and subscription services for niche industries/creators. Running a Feed is the new Substack newsletter for creators or running a meme account today.
Congress might even mandate that the client UI must provider equal access to Feed curators without preferential treatment and the platform can’t own the main algo (a response to TikTok) similar to Proposer/Builder Separation in Ethereum.
Web3 Pitches (W3P) are short product write-ups that describe an emerging problem or opportunity in the Web3 space and proposes a minimal-viable solution that could be tested and iterated with users. The pitches are presented in screenshot essay form, which is meant to be short enough to be consumed on one page of a mobile screen. :-)
