In 2022, with the worst parts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the rear view mirror, I once again feel like I am ‘on the edge of history’.
The groundswell of new projects (and new capital) in the web3 space in the latter half of 2021 has been simply extraordinary. For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m poised to ‘catch the wave’ of web3. This is a new feeling for me, having been only a young child in the dot-com era then picking up mobile/social/web2.0 primarily as a consumer when I was a teenager.
This year I plan to write publicly on and the trends I’m seeing in web3 that I think are noteworthy, and also how my perspective is changing over time.
One of the best things I did in 2021 was to create a web3 learning journal in Notion to stay on top of projects, people, and applications that I thought were novel. I’ll continue to update this as I learn throughout the year.
Strap yourselves in - 2022 is going to be a big one.
