In lieu of a proper page on the cozy co website, I thought I’d write a quick summary here of a fundraising effort for Ukraine.

Quilts for Ukraine is a fork of the original Quilts on-chain project to raise money for the people of Ukraine. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Ukraine Government ETH address, and UkraineDAO.eth.

In return for your donation, you’ll receive a Quilt NFT that’s themed around Ukraine with colours and traditional embroidery patterns commonly used in Vyshyvanka. Each quilt also features a single Peace symbol patch.

The proceeds are temporarily held in the contract. The only way for the funds to be released are to call donateProceeds which forwards the balance on to the donation addresses above. There is a way for us to add new donation addresses and share amounts, but these will be discussed in Discord and Twitter before any new transactions are made. I just wanted to make it clear that there is no way for us to take the funds.

Anyone can call donateProceeds at any time. They will just pay the gas fee to forward the current balance on. We will be calling this function daily when we can, but if you notice the balance sitting there and want to send the proceeds on, feel free!

For now, minting is done via Etherscan. We will have a page up on the cozyco.studio website soon. You can find the verified contract here:

1. Head to the “Contract” tab.

2. Click the “Write Contract” sub tab.

3. Connect your wallet by pressing “Connect to Web3”.

4. Scroll down to section number 5 called “mint” and expand it.

5. You should see two inputs, one called “mint”, and one called “numTokens”.

   1. In “mint”, enter the price you want to pay.

   2. In “numTokens” enter the amount of quilts you want to mint.

   3. If you’re after multiple quilts, you have to multiply the number you want by 0.05 and enter the result in “mint”. For example, if you want to mint 4 quilts, you would enter “0.2” in the first input, and “4” in the second.

   4. You can donate more than 0.05 per quilt if you wish.

6. Press “Write” below the inputs and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Next steps for me are to make a page on the cozyco.studio website that will allow you to mint directly, and it will include more information about where the proceeds are going, and about the quilts themselves.

There isn’t as much variation in these quilts as the original artwork, but the main purpose is to donate to Ukraine. The NFT is a nice to have!
