What are we missing from our lives? It is not every day that we find out what that is, even though it may be lying in front of us the whole time. One day we look for this item, the other for that person, finally we settle on a life-hack, or religion. Do you know the feeling when you just finished doing something, could be any mundane activity out there, and yet you feel like it’s of monumental value and fulfilment to you? I think we have all experienced that time, because that pure delight is the joy of life, and what makes us all wake up to live on another day, hoping to keep living in that feeling, if only for another hour in the next 10 years. We know meaning, we have seen it, we have smelled it, yet we don’t know where it came from, or where it went… after all, can we even chase it down? Life is as unexpected as the first snow on a winter morning, as saying “i love you” to your partner for the first time, and as new life itself. I await with anxiety these days, because these are the days I will remember for eternity, these are the days that will keep me company when I’m old, these are the days I thank God for now, and will thank Him for when I’m at His feet.
