That is how I envision it, a humanity that has progressed enough that a tracking of time by conventional means are no longer needed, as per every hour more progress is made than it was made in centuries before humanity elevated to their current state.

Every hour, as humanity craves the dopamine from aiming higher, achieving becomes dull, and impossible takes the place. The primal instict of hunting is yet to be abolished from the minds of the masses, but this time it is a hint for ideas. As materialistic goals become a thing of the past, thanks to the AI, cryptocurrencies and implants, our brains ravage the deep caves of our brains, searching for the unachieveable dream that we hope lays deep beneath.

As the world got decentralised, so did the humanity. We realised that what we once called "norms", were nothing but pieces of rules that tied us within the realm of our own mind. A world where the rate of advancement is so high, humanity felt the need to push for themselves to go HIGHER, cutting every rope. Such change did not happen overnight, but at a rate that would have made the ancient ones think that the prophecys of their holy books were happening and the world will end tomorrow. No roles, traditions, races, ethnicities or religions were left behind. People formed their social bubbles by their interests and passions.

With Universal Basic Income that is distributed instantly through the invisible blockchain networks that has become the foundation of the internet as know it, we no longer indulge ourselves with cheap fast-food junk. But, the price tag of a meal no longer intriques us either. It is the complexity and creativity of the flavour and textures of small bites we take, as we try to categorize the distinct yet distant tastes, it fulfills our desire to not achieve. What may have been seen as a weird kink in old times, is now humanities main drug; not achieving despite wanting to achieve so bad.

Such levels of changes also effected the man-made gods of ancient times, turned the governments and megacorps into a drop of water in a vast ocean. First semi-decantralized but later completely abolished, governments were not needed for enforcing the rules and looking after citizens and corporations failed once money was no longer a problem for individuals. A fully decentralized AI, running on the implants of every single human being, creating what is now called Communal Individualism. People vote within seconds using their implants and AI handles the small matters, like running the economy or handling the resources. People no longer were interested in the political tension of the old world, living together yet on their own. World became smaller and districts were formed, allowing anyone to live anywhere they wish, all having different set of rules that was decided collectively by the residents of each district.

Our buildings became higher and higher, an building principle that is mostly caused by the lack of avaliable land for a population that has exceeded far beyond our capacity, but also from the greed of mankind and the race they held against the gods they believed. Their desire to go higher to prove a point, as every other thing that was fueled by greed, punished the next generations.

In a world with unlimited manpower and money, one thing thrived more than any other; art. The delicate and elegant dance of human's minds and bodies became more valuable than money. It become a religious artifact almost, similar to books of old time religions. As people held on to their religion for an afterlife where they believed they would go to a HIGHER place after their death, a hope that they will be rewarded for hardships they suffered causes by poverty and unfairness, we began to hope that the art will save us from the infinite richness and dullness, holding on to the art as they held on to their books, hoping for a deeper meaning in everything.

Many individuals also moved themselves completely to the blockchains, turning their consciousness into NFTs. It allowed them to use their maximum, focusing on less materalistic topics with heightened focus.

With the lack of wars, ended as humans elevated HIGHER, leaving their ego, hubris and greed behind, world became finally became somewhere where children can laugh without the sounds of the falling bombs or firing rifles. All but meaningless fights over lands, resources and money was over, and with the only valuable thing left being art, humanity learned to admire instead of jealousy. They spent their hours together, thinking how to create better instead of bringing down what is already there.

A decentralised automated world, became centralised by the very individuals who strived together to dream the unachieveable. Their collective world view could be explained a simple quote, another piece of art, that is now priceless to those who managed to understand it:

Fantasies have to be unrealistic because the moment, the second that you get what you seek, you don't, you can't want it anymore. In order to continue to exist, desire must have its objects perpetually absent. It's not the "it" that you want, it's the fantasy of "it."
