At a glance, web3 identity seems a major hurdle to mass adoption. How to juggle with 1 real entity and multiple identities. Should it be a main wallet with multiple aliases ? A unique token with verified properties (KYC) allowing to link many wallets and aliases ? Most people are happy with a limited amount of aliases / identities. According to Gmail, the average number of email accounts per user is 1.7 but nefarious actors do abuse the system to create fake identities to scam.
Some kind of verification process is critical to generate trust in any ID system. I plan to dig a bit further, I am sure very smart people are already working on that, curious to see what are the current solution. Are we missing any building blocks ?
