Bifrost is a middleware platform that allows developers to create decentralized applications (DApps) based on multiple protocols. Bifrost goes beyond a single blockchain and creates a new environment where developers can combine the best protocols.
About the project BIFROST was founded in 2017 by two professors and another founder with a strong background in finance and computer science, Dohyun Pak, Jonhyup Lee and Chanhyun Yu, with the goal of developing a multi-chain middleware platform that will allow developers to create decentralized applications (DApps) on top of multiple protocols. BIFROST has introduced a number of decentralized finance (DeFi) products including BiFi, BiFi X, ChainRunner, Biport and is now focusing on building a multi-chain ecosystem within our network using BIFROST's own multi-chain technology. The company recently raised $8.4 million after a $3.3 million Seed round in 2019 from some of South Korea's largest funds.

Existing applications developed by the BIFROST team will be migrated to the BIFROST network, and new products are under development. BiFi, the credit/loan marketplace, and interchain DEX will be the backbone of the BIFROST DeFi ecosystem. ChainRunner will act as the router for interchain transactions on DEX. Having these native interchain products on the BIFROST Network will provide a new level of user experience through the synergy and composite that will be possible.
