Remind yourself what your goals are. Before starting something, we generally set some short-term and long-term goals. If you start to lose sight of your goals and where you are, then you may start to slack off. By constantly seeing how far you are from your goals, and seeing your short- and long-term goals, you can stay motivated.
Check your progress weekly. Everyone needs to review their efforts from time to time and see their progress in order to stay motivated. If every time you look back, you find yourself completing the plan you made, you'll feel happier and more motivated to keep going. If you find yourself falling short of your goals, you will work harder to keep up with your schedule.
Remember to reward yourself after reaching your goal each week. Rewards are simple things, like reward yourself with a bowl of ice cream if you keep exercising for a week; reward yourself with a massage spa if you work hard for a week. Reward yourself for what makes you feel motivated.
Give yourself some time to rest. Sometimes even the most determined people can slack off. You may be exhausting yourself and desperately need a break. If you need to achieve weight loss or fitness goals, you can take 3 to 4 days off before starting, instead of 1 or 2 days before you start exercising. If you're at school, you don't have to do your homework all at once, if possible, spread it out over a day or a week.
