West Lake has many scenic spots and great reputation. Before I went there, I was only impressed by Su Causeway, Leifeng Pagoda and Huxin Pavilion. I remember that Su Causeway was because of Su Dongpo, Leifeng Pagoda was because of Bai Suzhen, and as for Huxin Pavilion, it was because of an essay by Zhang Dai.

Zhang Dai's "Looking at the Snow at the Lake Heart Pavilion" has only two paragraphs. The first paragraph describes the snow scene seen in the night tour of the Lake Heart Pavilion, and the second paragraph describes the two people who met in the pavilion and greeted them for drinking. When writing scenery and people, readers have always had their own experience. Some people say it is a form of life, and some people say it is a lonely state of mind. When I first read it, I was fascinated by the continuous use of the word "one" in the text: "The sky and the clouds, the mountains, and the water, the upper and the lower are white. The shadow on the lake is only a trace of the long embankment, a point of the pavilion in the center of the lake, and the rest of the boat. One mustard is two or three grains for the people in the boat." The word "one" describes the silence of the night scene and the loneliness of the author, so I regard it as the "literary eye" of this article.

Zhang Dai Yuanwang Lake Heart Pavilion is just a "point", in fact, it is an island, not just one pavilion. In April of this year, I took a boat trip to the West Lake. Looking at the Huxin Pavilion from a distance, a small boat happened to be slowly approaching the island. A white door wall on the island stood by the lake. More than 300 years ago, the 36-year-old Zhang Dai may have landed here.

After Zhang Dai arrived in the pavilion, there were already two people sitting opposite each other in the pavilion, and there was "a boy shochuing wine, and the furnace was boiling." The silence became lively, the color of the picture also changed, the red dot fire appeared in the upper and lower white, the two guests in the pavilion were pleasantly surprised, Zhang Dai was content, and the quiet atmosphere suddenly became lively. Reading so far, Wen Yan has become the word "the furnace is boiling". Zhang Dai did not pick a brick or a piece of wood, and only used more than 100 words to describe an ordinary night, but he created another scene for the West Lake, which has not collapsed for more than 300 years.
