EIP-3074 Explained

TL:DR Account Abstraction is still one of the major hurdles of Ethereum developers. The recently approved EIP-3074 aims to take the first step towards bridging the gap between the EVM and the UX of traditional financial systems. By adding 2 new opcodes - AUTH and AUTHCALL, EIP-3074 gives EOAs (Externally Owned Accounts) the functionality of SCAs (Smart Contract Accounts) and will change how users interact with the EVM. EIP-3074 aims to “supercharge” EOAs! Authorized transactions unlock the fo...

Composable Jobs are coming to PowerPool with Modularity
Modular abstraction comes from several proposals for the implementation of smart contract accounts with customizable functionality (see EIP-5005, EIP-6900). Modularity does not necessarily imply (or require) account abstraction. It can be applied to an arbitrary smart contract rather than necessarily a smart contract account), but rather adds customization by enabling or disabling modules - separate smart contracts that may have additional module dependencies. Custom implementation of modular...

Introducing PowerPool VRF, an on-chain random generator
Introduction Verifiable randomness is critical in various applications, especially in cryptography and web3. (Pseudo)random numbers are routinely utilized to generate encryption keys and safeguard sensitive data, powering web3 in a way we know it. It is done to prevent the predictability of these keys, as their compromise could lead to a breach in the security of encrypted information. The PowerAgent V2 design uses random Keepers’ selection for the same purpose as key generation - to ensure t...

Introducing PowerAgent v2 Automation Network
Smart contracts don't execute themselves - Part 2IntroductionTrustless, open-source code-based operation is increasingly important for DeFi protocols. EVM-compliant protocols and services cannot effectively automate ‘trustless’ timely ancillary ‘supportive’ transactions triggered by on-chain logic or time conditions. Such transactions require signing by another address external to the contract that needs to be called or executed at the right time and under the right conditions. Most effe...

Automation Agent Networks: The missing layer of DeFi 2.0 infrastructure
Smart contracts don't execute themselves, Part 1BackgroundPowerPool has been dealing with the problem of guaranteed on-chain transaction execution since the protocol launched in autumn of 2020. Ever since, we’ve been trying to perfect on-chain automation, together with other automation projects like Keeper.network and Gelato. PowerPool’s focus is especially on combining development of structured DeFi investment products with an enabling automation network we call the PowerAgent Network. ...

Introducing PowerPool Research
Please note: PowerPool Research is not competing with any ‘boutique’ research agencies, Research DAOs, and other similar entities. We created it for solving issues related to PowerPool/protocols we are building on top and for collaboration with other researchers. Today we are excited to publicly announce a research group funded by PowerPool DAO and a brand new publication blog for PowerPool research materials on mirror.xyz.We aim to adopt various DeSci (Decentralized Science) tools over time ...
