This is not a post to list milestones or numbers we achieved over the past year. This is a story. A story about what we went through, and we encourage you to read it until the end to truly feel the journey.
2025 was a tough year, for builders and for retail investors. Narratives changed constantly. The market was shaken by macro news. DeFi was no longer in favor. New coins launched every day and took attention away from older ones. In the middle of all that, DackieSwap and the Dackies community kept moving. We kept updating, adjusting, and searching for ways not just to survive, but to grow in this market.
We started 2025 with many targets. The main focus was to grow our AI Smart Router, build the DackieSwap DAO Treasury, restart DackiePad, and expand our partnership network.
A Thread: DackieSwap 2025 Vision
Some goals were achieved. Some were forgotten along the way. That is simply the nature of crypto. The market moves fast, narratives shift quickly, and plans must change. Instead of standing still, we introduced new features and programs to adapt to where the market was heading.
In the early months of the year, DackieSwap completed a major token migration. We merged two legacy tokens, DACKIE and QUACK, into a single token called DACKIE Superchain. The new DACKIE was designed to be fully compatible with the Optimism Superchain. When the Superchain native bridge goes live, DACKIE will be ready to move across the Superchain easily.
At the same time, DACKIE tokenomics was redesigned to be fully transparent and decentralized, with emissions that decrease gradually by block.
When the DAO trend started to rise, led by platforms like DaoFun and DaoWorld, we launched the Dackie DAO Treasury. At launch, the treasury had around 30k USD in TVL. It was allocated to users who joined DACKIE Premium by locking and staking DACKIE as Tier 3 members.
Alongside the growth of Clanker, we partnered with and listed many well known Clanker projects on DackieSwap. We also opened multiple partnership staking pools, helping communities share attention and grow together.
AI Smart Router has always been one of DackieSwap’s signature features. It automatically aggregates the best swap quotes for users by pulling data from major aggregators.
Our AI Smart Router continuously integrated with top aggregators like Kyber, Odos, 0x, Wowmax, OKX DEX, and OpenOcean. Thanks to this, DackieSwap users always receive the best available quote when swapping through our router.
In May, DackieSwap continue to receive grant from Optimism Retro Funding Season 7. This was the fourth time we received Optimism funding, a strong signal that our credibility has been proven over many years.
DackieSwap was also one of the projects that adapted early to the AI Agent trend. We launched our AI Agent, Captain Dackie, as early as March. However, by May we realized that building a brand new feature inside an old project made it harder to attract new users. That led to a big decision. We launched a new project called Capminal and introduced it through a launchpad on Virtuals Genesis.
The CAP tokenomics was designed with a clear goal. A portion of the supply was allocated as an airdrop for DACKIE Premium users, our most loyal holders. This was our way of capturing value and bringing it back into the DACKIE ecosystem. This approach will also be applied if we launch new projects in the future.
From May to August, we used the social power of the Dackie ecosystem to support Capminal. The project achieved solid traction within the Virtuals ecosystem and is now seen as a promising project in the DeFAI and x402 sectors.
Meanwhile, DackieSwap gradually reached a stable trading volume. To stay transparent about DACKIE tokenomics and to visualize cross chain trading volume, we built a public Dune dashboard for everyone to track and reference.
At the end of September, DackieSwap launched the DACKIE LP Vault. This was a key feature aimed at improving liquidity for the DACKIE token, which had been lacking. The vault was designed with multi layer rewards, including trading fees paid in cbBTC and extra rewards from partner projects. This structure strongly encouraged users to provide liquidity for the DACKIE ETH pair. The response was very positive, and at one point DACKIE price increased five times from the bottom.
Around the same time, the DAO Treasury reached its expiration. All remaining funds were distributed to DAO members based on their contributions.
From October to December, our focus shifted to building a new UI. We also made an important strategic decision. Going forward, DackieSwap will focus on DACKIE LP Vault and AI Smart Router. We decided to remove Liquidity and Yield Farming features. We no longer want to stay in the role of a traditional DEX, as this space is already saturated and requires a new direction.
We are still building. We are still searching for the next path for DackieSwap and the DACKIE token. Our vision for 2026 will be announced soon. Many ideas are already written on my whiteboard, and I, AndreaPN, will share them with the community very soon.
Two years and four months later, Dackie is still here.

Still, DackieSwap and its community didn’t stop — we adapted. The year began with bold goals: scale the AI Smart Router, grow the DAO Treasury, revive DackiePad, and expand partnerships. Some landed. Some pivoted. That’s crypto. A major early milestone: merging $DACKIE + $QUACK into $DACKIE Superchain, fully Optimism-compatible. Tokenomics were rebuilt for transparency with declining emissions. Migration closed Dec 31 — 86% old DACKIE and 99% QUACK completed, ownership renounced. Fully decentralized. The DAO Treasury launched with ~$30k TVL, rewarding Tier 3 Premium stakers as DAO narratives surged. Partnerships with Clanker projects followed, alongside shared staking pools. Post 2/3 — Pivots, Launches & Focus The AI Smart Router stayed core, integrating Kyber, Odos, and more for best routes and slippage. In May, Dackie earned its 4th Optimism Retro Funding grant. Mid-year, Dackie moved early on AI with Captain Dackie, but growth inside an older product was limiting. The team made a bold call: spin it out. Enter @capminal, launched via @virtuals_io Genesis. 3% of $CAP supply was airdropped to loyal DACKIE Premium holders — recycling value back into the ecosystem. From May–August, the community powered Capminal’s rise in DeFAI/x402. Transparency improved with a public Dune dashboard, showing tokenomics and cross-chain volume on-chain. September delivered a major liquidity upgrade: the DACKIE LP Vault. Multi-layer rewards (cbBTC fees + partner incentives) drove strong LP participation — with $DACKIE peaking ~5× from the lows. The DAO Treasury expired end-September, distributing ~$5.5k to committed stakers. Premium perks kept the core community tight.
