Welcome to “Dark Worlds Emerge,” a place where dark arts and their creators are celebrated, discussed, and discovered. This world of abstraction, surrealism, maximalism, and absurdism was founded by Michael Stone, but will feature work by other curated artists as well.

The first featured work is the absurdism of Stones collection, “Sirens of Desire,” on the Base blockchain at Foundation. The collection features 23 1-of-1 NFTs all based on the theme of the decline of American society into the darkest version of consumerism.

The relentless marketing and advertising campaigns that promote a culture of instant gratification and instant fulfillment have created a sense of entitlement and a lack of accountability among individuals. This has led to a culture where individuals are willing to sacrifice their values and principles in order to achieve financial success and material gain, even at the expense of others. The obsession with wealth and consumption has led to a growing disparity between the rich and the poor, further exacerbating social inequalities and injustices.

As individuals become increasingly focused on their own desires and needs, they neglect the well-being of others and fail to recognize the interconnectedness of all members of society.
