In the last eight months of 2024, more than $1.6 billion has been stolen by hackers in various crypto hacks, making security a paramount element in the web3 industry. Impact of security breaches resulted from financial losses to trust erosion within the community.
That is why, Demether took a proactive approach towards security, ensuring the code stack to be strong enough and resistant to any type of security breaches. Demether’s security audit has been conducted by Resonance Security — a premier web3 cybersecurity firm, trusted by — Andromeda, Syndicate, Noble, and several others.
Resonance Security’s testing team assessed our code, tests, and documentation, and we are pleased to share the positive results. The audit confirmed that our code adhered to best practices, utilizing known patterns, standard libraries, and the latest stable versions of relevant components, making it easily readable with strong overall quality. Unit and integration tests were included, covering both technical and functional requirements, with test quality rated as good, although code coverage was not determined. Our documentation was also thoroughly evaluated, covering system specifications, technical details, and key workflows, with its overall quality deemed good.

There were several bugs highlighted by the Resonance team and were promptly resolved by the Demether team. Here are some of the bugs that the team resolved:

“Proud to support transparency for multichain DeFi yield maximization projects by making public the recent audit of Demether’s smart contract code written in Solidity.”
— Charles Dray, Founder & CEO, Resonance
Demether makes sure that we maintain the highest security standards, such as regular code reviews, stress tests, and updates.
Demether is in talks with Immunefi, the leading bug bounty platform in web3 to start a bug hunting campaign for Demether, encouraging white-hat hackers and the community to identify vulnerabilities.
“Security is paramount at Demether and deeply embedded into our ethos, strategy and product vision.
We take a three-dimensional approach.
We have top tier partners such as Resonance to clear our smart contract code, the heart and soul of our protocol.
We aim to partner with innovative but well-secured protocols.
We continuously monitor threats and the evolution of security to sustain best practices.”
— Kartik Swaminathan, Lead Contributor to Demether and CEO of Rolling Thunder Labs
Not only this, Demether is planning to conduct several audits from many renowned web3 cybersecurity firms so that there are multiple eyeballs on the code, making sure no bug is left behind.
