Winning a scholarship to attend Draper University in the Bay Area in 2015/16 was quite phenomenal. It was the first time I was introduced to both Crypto and AR/VR by Tim Draper. It was incredible to spend time at DU and subsequently at Boost VC, and learn about the foundational changes blockchain technology enabled. Seeing the founders of amazing projects build out game changing tech right beside me truly brought to life the saying that “the future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed yet”.  🚀

While there’s a lot of noise around ‘web3’ right now, the basic fundamentals that it stands for — a ‘trustless, permissionless, decentralized internet’, is a promising reset to the way a lot of platforms were structured over the past decade. At Paradigm Shift, we’re supremely excited by the new primitives being built in the web3 ecosystem especially at the infrastructure level.

We’re also innovating and adopting crypto use cases at our own fund. We were the FIRST Fund Globally to accept LP Capital via Crypto/USDC on AngelList. We worked closely with AngelList’s Venture and Crypto teams in San Francisco to enable this on-ramp/off-ramp functionality. 👇

Spheron is an all-in-one decentralized platform for automating modern dapps. Spheron provides a frictionless developer experience to take care of the hard things: deploying instantly, scaling automatically, and serving personalized content on decentralized networks.

Samudai: Uniting the DAOVerse, Samudai organises information and provides tools to enable seamless coordination across the DAO ecosystem. Currently, DAO project management and workflows are completely broken, Samudai is the solution to that. Co-investors : Sino Global Capital, Balaji Srinivasan (x-CTO, Coinbase), Sandeep Nailwal (Co-Founder Polygon)

We’ve also backed a game changing Augmented reality startup called Ixana. They’re building a new AR device and doing some of the most cutting edge Human computer interaction work in the world. We’ve co-invested with the co-creator of Google Glass, Tom Chi, and other top Silicon Valley VCs have led the subsequent financing round here.

We’ve known Jaynti Kanani, the founder of Polygon for over 3 years. We’re strengthening our partnership with him and the Polygon ecosystem for our web3 investments. We’re grateful to have him as a LP and advisor at Paradigm Shift Capital!
