One such enclave is known as The Sanctum, led by an enigmatic figure people call "The Governor." The Governor has enlisted a team of scientists to develop a serum that will reverse the conversion process. He has armed his fellow survivors with the serum to prepare for the battle to come. His goal is to defeat the Horde and turn every last zombie back into humans with the serum.

Hunger Brainz pits an equal number of these two factions against each other with innovative NFT game theory and tokenomics. Players must put their NFTs at risk to participate but they have a good chance of stealing and converting other NFTs to their side of the battle.

There will be 5,000 Zombies and 5,000 Survivors minted for .069 ETH. All staked Zombies and Survivors earn 500 supplies ($SUP) per day. After the initial 10,000 mint, all mints will cost 1000 $SUP. Dynamic deflationary population control mechanics will limit total staked supply to approximately between 10,000 and 20,000 through burning. All players start the game with 100% unique NFTs of equal level, utility, and rarity. Players can upgrade their NFT’s image, rarity, and utility by going on “Hunts.”

During each Hunt players can claim their $SUP, steal and convert the other faction and take their $SUP, upgrade their level and image, or die.Upon minting you can choose to mint and stake in one transaction or to leave your NFT unstaked, while unstaked you NFT remains passive – it cannot earn, steal, kill or die.

STAKING When staking, your NFT will start producing $SUP at a rate of 500 SUP per day. Upon staking for the first time your NFT will have a “cooldown timer” applied which prevents it from taking any actions for between 2-6 hours (this value is randomized each time).

When executing a Hunt there are three possible outcomes:
1.Success (Claim and Level): 80% chance

When your NFT levels up it will perform better on Hunts; its chance of critical success improves while its chance of critical failure reduces, and it's chance of being burned upon unstaking also reduces. The following table summarizes these bonuses:

STEALING & CONVERSION Stealing NFTs is done only from within the staking pool, so only NFTs that have been staked can be stolen. NFTs stolen from the staking pool will be converted to the faction of the NFT who stole it. Which NFT is stolen is determined at random from the total pool of staked NFTs of the appropriate team.

Scenario 1: A Survivor NFT has critical success on a hunt and steals a Horde NFT; the NFT that is stolen will be derived from all Horde NFTs currently staked, and converted to a Survivor NFT and it is sent to the wallet of the person who has stolen it.

Higher level NFTs will have less risk of being stolen in relation to lower level NFTs. This is done by weighting.
Level 1 NFTs will carry a weight of 1. Each additional level an NFT has will reduce its weighting by 0.1 until Level 5 which carries a minimum weight of 0.5. Examples as follows, in both scenarios a Survivor has achieved a critical success and steals a Horde:
Scenario 2: There are 2 Horde NFTs staked, the 1st is level 1 while the 2nd is level 5. In this scenario the Level 1 NFT is twice as likely to be stolen.
Scenario 3: There are 2 Horde NFTs staked, both are level 5. In this scenario both NFTs have the same chance of being stolen.
Any stolen NFTs will have an 8 hour “cooldown timer” applied before they can take any actions. They will also retain all attributes they had prior to being stolen.

UNSTAKING If you unstake your NFT at any time you will not receive any unclaimed $SUP that has accumulated, there is also a 20% chance your NFT will die and be burned.

SUPPLY AND GAME BALANCE MECHANICS The Hunger Brainz war has a max total supply of alive and unburned NFTs of 40,000. To control supply we have mechanics in place based on the total supply of staked NFTs.

AGGRESSION After the initial 10,000 NFTs are minted, each time total supply increases by 2,000 aggression modifiers will trigger. Aggression modifiers stack up to 5 times until peak aggression is reached at 20,000 total supply. The following modifiers apply each time Aggression triggers:
+3% modifier to critical failure (death) rate when hunting. (+15% at peak)
+5% modifier to your NFT dying when unstaked. (+25% at peak)

FRENZY
If the total supply reaches 20,000 NFTs both sides enter a Frenzy. Aggression modifiers are removed and the following modifier is triggered:
+25% modifier to critical failure (death) rate when going on a Hunt. Note:critical success rate reduces by the same amount.
During a Frenzy, death rate when unstaking is a minimum of 30% for all players.
A Frenzy stops once the total supply returns to 10,000. At this point Aggression modifiers begin accumulating again each time total supply increases by 2,000 and the war continues!

BALANCE To ensure Hunger Brainz retains balance between both sides, the following modifiers are applied if one side gets outnumbered - these modifiers (outlined in the table below) increase the more outnumbered a team becomes.
This speaks to the remaining forces being the strongest and most elite of the team, battle hardened and highly dangerous. The below example is from the perspective of a Survivor but is true of both sides.

So yes, if there are ever 90% more horde than survivors at any point in the game, any time a survivor has a critical success during a hunt – they will steal and convert 5 horde. While this is highly unlikely we want to ensure even the unexpected is catered for.

PHASE 2 Phase 2 of the project will see us building on the foundations of Phase 1 while broadening the scale of the combat and the lore.
As the Sanctum's number grows, the Governor's forces have been hard at work deploying construction facilities and enhancing the reversion serum. Preparation for expansion back into the plaguelands is almost complete.
But unbeknownst to the survivors, the Smiling Man's own generals had been growing mutation pods in the plaguelands, establishing their own foothold. They are planning a grand assault that will be unleashed on the Sanctum like a tidal wave of horror.
As the scale of Hunger Brainz expands, you will want to ensure you have a strong team to bring with you because what we have in store will surely test your resolve.
