Early and Often: The Daily 56/ Taxes
SubscribeOne thing I learned today: Why is filing taxes so complicated? It’s hard not to think about how blockchain could not solve this aged problem. Using a DLT system you could easily track every single transaction and tax in real time. For example, on February 1 when you file your taxes, every single transaction and investment that you made would be on the public ledger. Therefore, all you would have to do is press “File” and the software would extract all your pay slips to create your w-...
Early and Often: The Daily 61/ PartyRoom
One thing I learned today: PartyRoom is a way for users in web3 to create a monetized group chat. It’s built on base and it launched about 5 hours ago. It’s actually pretty cool because the more members that join the more expensive it is for the next mint. Also, it operates like a DAO where proposals can be made on NFTs or trades for the group wallet. Will be interesting to see how it goes. This is not financial advice. This is just a review of an app on the Base blockchain. Any readers shoul...

“I am committed to maintaining unwavering faith that I will reach my goal and putting forth extraordinary effort until I do, no matter what. There is no other option!” - Hal Elrod
2023 did not start the way I wanted it to. I was no longer at Binance which I had thought been my dream job. I took a step back in my fitness goals from a body percentage of 21% to 23%. I thought I had landed a cool new job, but things didn’t work out.
I needed a change. I needed a time of self-reflection. How could I be better? A better employee, yes. But, most importantly, a better me. To be honest, I was coasting.
After a month of applying to places and ultimately coming up short I had a quick call with my mom. She gave it to me straight, “What are you doing outside of applying to truly earn your next opportunity?” That’s when it hit me that I was shying away from hard work.
My mom mailed me a book called “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. I hated reading, but I was desperate so I said “Fuck it - I’ll give it a try.” Little did I know this book would change my life.
In summary, “The Miracle Morning” was about how the only way to change your life was to change your actions. And it all started with transforming what you did in the first hour of your day. Whether it was in your career, relationships, health, etc. It basically could be applied to anything that you wanted to achieve.
At the beginning of the book, Hal details how waking up at 5am to meditate, visualize success, read your affirmations, write something you're grateful for, and exercise for the first hour of your day would set-you up for success because you are taking care of the most important thing in the world before life can throw any obstacles at you during the day - YOURSELF.
These were the first affirmations I wrote down in my journal on February 6th, 2023:

One of the biggest assets you can have during this process of change is an accountability partner. Someone that will keep you in check when you feel like giving up. Someone that will remind you of what the end goal is and how taking a day off will not give you the result that you want.
Mine was my roommate at the time in Boston. We were both up and at it every morning in the gym (Hence, “Early and Often”). We had a goal to lower our body fat percentages, as noted above in my affirmations. We kept each other accountable on what we ate and how many calories we would intake a day. We had the best time pushing each other.
My goal with this blog post is to be your accountability partner. Connect you with others that can also be your accountability partner and put you around other aspiring individuals chasing goals. Let’s build an accountability TEAM.
To prove that my life changed, here are affirmations/goals that I crossed out/achieved. I completed 30 days of the miracle morning (Usually takes 30 days to create a good habit) In April, I started at BNY Mellon within their Digital Assets division. It wasn’t by chance. I studied and prepared my ass off for those interviews. I EARNED that offer. NOTHING, felt better than crossing off these goals (which at one time seemed impossible)
However, I earned this next opportunity not just by studying, preparing, or what was on my resume. I woke up at 5am daily, meditated, visualized myself working and succeeding in my next role, ran 2-miles roundtrip to the South Boston beach in the middle of the winter to watch the sunrise and back to my apartment, read a chapter of the book I was on at the time, wrote down my daily tasks, and by 6am I was ready to start my day. No excuses.

I want to hear from you. What are your goals? What do you want to get better at? Quit sugar? Lets do it. Read everyday? Easy. Build a company? Lets climb the mountain.
Here are my current goals for 2023:
Complete 77 hour New York State Real Estate Salesperson Course by December 1
Hit 225 on the Bench Press
Run a 5k and a 10k in 2023
Body Fat % <10 (Currently ~13-14%)
Complete Udemy Solidity Course
Long-term Goals (EOY 2025):
Forbes NYC Innovative 25 under 25
Own my first property
Blockchain is immutable right? So here are my goals, on-chain, and in public for you to keep me accountable.
Now tell me what you’re striving for. Subscribe to my blog (So I have your email and can reach you), DM me on LinkedIn, or text me. Or take it up a notch and post your goals on your LinkedIn for your network to see. That’s real accountability.
In the meantime, I will work on creating a group chat where we can create an Accountability Team. Everybody pushing each other to be better.
Now, invest in yourself and get this book - The Miracle Morning on Amazon:
